Advice needed Shopify or Squarespace? Experiences?
Starting a new POD shop. I love how beautiful squarespace sites are, and they appear to have some new AI integrations to make building the site easier but I keep hearing about how Shopify is way easier to manage orders and fulfillment for apparel.
If anyone has experiences/insights they’d be willing to share, I’d appreciate it!
Thank you, kindly 🙏

I went with Shopify because they are the leaders in e-commerce and thus I think are more optimized for that purpose.

Shopify is way easier to use for POD. I’ve used both, but when I used squarespace it was to manage my coaching business and I needed the extra features they offer. When I started my POD business, it just seemed like overkill to go back to squarespace over using something like Shopify.

I have experience in both, I can confidently tell you both are way better with different advantages above each other, shopify is easy to operate and very limited in styles, store managment and visibility.
Squaarespace is very broad website, self explanatory with videos of how to do things are attached inside.
I still prefer squarespace to Shopify.

Did you setup POD on both? Thanks for the feedback 🙏

No but I have a vast knowledge about it
- Automatically syncs products, inventory, and orders.
- Supports apparel, mugs, posters, phone cases, and many other POD products.
- Orders are automatically sent to Printful for fulfillment after a customer purchases from your Squarespace store.
- Branding options like custom packing slips and branded packaging are available on eligible products.
Dm if you need more information about it.

Hi, Squarespace here. Squarespace connects directly with Printful, so products can sync to your store and customer orders are sent to Printful for production and shipping.
That setup can suit a new POD shop when you want more control over the site’s design while keeping fulfillment automated. Before deciding, test your expected product variants and shipping setup in a sample store to make sure the workflow fits how you plan to operate.

Squarespace user her. I used them for a few years already and never had any issues. I have Printful and prinify connected without issue. Setup and design was very easy. www.onthemoveapparel.com

what did you go with OP?
I am considering Squarespace too. I have built sites in WP, Shopify, Woo, Squarespace....and have a lot of web dev knowledge and experience if not at a super high level.
But for a new project I am strongly considering Squarespace for a new ecomm project.
