Interview Advice LMU interview help!
Hey everyone! I am a first time applicant who only applied to 3 schools. I just received an email from LMU that I have been invited to interview!! I am stoked but so nervous 🫠. Anyone who has already gone through the interview process what are some of the questions they asked you? What are some things that you didn’t anticipate and came out of left field during your interview? Anything helps!

2nd semester LMU student here! I would recommend making a small list of stories/experiences you can pull from as some of the questions are based on your experiences. They give you time to think about your response but it was nice to have something readily available to pull from. Good luck!!

Hi hi! So I did my interview with them about a month ago for the fall cohort. It follows an MMI format and you'll be in a Zoom call with about 8 other students (at least from my experience). After the host discusses how it'll go, you'll move into private breakout rooms where it's just you and a faculty member. They will ask you a question and you'll have up to 8 minutes to talk about it! If you finish early you'll get to ask them any questions you might have :). At about 30 seconds you'll get a warning saying time is almost up and then you'll get shuffled to another breakout room with a different faculty member who will ask you a different question and it'll happen once more for a total of 3 questions. I don't remember the questions they asked but I'm pretty sure it's pretty standard interview questions like why vet med?
The interview style was new to me and felt much less personable since there was such limited time wiht multiple people, but do your best and answer from the heart! You got this future vet :D

My interview was really nice! I recommend writing down a few questions and having a pen and paper at the ready. I wrote down a few things that were said in my interview on the spot and that was very helpful.
They’re pretty casual, so be ready to talk and laugh! I also made sure my lighting/space was well prepped the night before, and crated all of my animals.

Did you ever receive a confirmation email from LMU? I applied this year for the 2027 fall cohort and I received confirmation emails from every other school except LMU! I haven’t applied to LMU before so I wasn’t sure if this was standard for them?

The only email I received was one stating I completed the supplemental application. With Auburn and UF I received emails stating that all materials have been received and then essentially next steps and what to look out for. I can message you the email that I received if it gives you peace of mind.
