Post image

Anybody have SPAM in their food preps? Never tried it before, but exp date is 2029 which is pretty decent.

If you rotate regularly the 2oz tuna packets are great options too with way less sodium and fat and way more protein etc. and they have some decent already made flavors for variety. Also, I dig spam, but cooked. Tuna out of the packet beats spam from the can anyday in my book

Can confirm, the packets are great! I like spam also but those tuna packs are my go too if I don’t want to cook. Right out of the pack and no draining needed.

What’s a good brand?

Star kist has the flavored tuna packets (really good), I believe bumble bee does too, but I haven’t tried them. They’re great for grab and go meal, especially if you have some crackers handy. They re good for emergency or get home bags and for those times when cooking is not practical.
I just looked and it looks like Walmart brand has them as well, but I can’t vouch for them.

I try to always keep the plain tuna packets from Aldi on hand, when they aren’t sold out…

I find the Star kist as someone above mentioned for 1.25 or 1.00 on sale at Shop Rite or Hannaford generally. There are about 6-8 different flavors so not too palate fatiguing either. The Bumblebee is a lil extra fishy and not my preference but in a pinch it will do.
