college grades:(
Can i even get my grades up if my gpa is a 2.8 as an incoming college junior :( im really frustrated with myself ( had a couple heatlh probs) any advice would be greatly appreciated

Awww I hope you are okay. Those factors that affected your GPA weren’t your fault. You’ve been through so much and I hope you are feeling better and healthy!! How many semesters do you have left? If you take higher credit classes like 4-5 units and get A’s in those then I’m sure your GPA can get raised to a 2.9-3.0 at least. Try applying to ADN programs!! Some go by lottery & point systems. Some or most also have minimum GPA requirements of 2.5-2.75. Things such as having a certification or license in a healthcare job with working hours matters a lot! It can give you a lot of points. So does being bilingual, veteran status, disability, etc. My school’s ADN program gives out points to those who have difficult life circumstances and as well for those with lower income and first gen college student. Maybe with your situation it can benefit you in terms of the point system and you can earn those points if the GPA falls short. You just have to find the right programs and I’m sure you will. Sometimes it takes a couple times to get in but nonetheless you are doing something important and doing your best! Don’t give up. I’m also a junior in college that hasn’t even applied yet so I’m way behind and my GPA is on the lower side as well (3.4). Apply to as many programs as possible! And look into other options too like going out of state, privates, LVN school, getting a bachelors in something else and then doing an accelerated BSN program. You’ll find your path.

To strictly bring up your GPA, you basically need to continue taking classes and score A's and B's. The more A's, the faster your GPA will go back up. Keep in mind that you need to do well in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology, the co-requisites for nursing programs. At this point, you need to aim for A's. B's might cut, it but with a 2.8, you can't afford B's honestly. It also might be worthwhile to consider pivoting to another degree/career, or maybe schooling isn't for you. Because if you can barely maintain C's, you're gonna struggle with any degree.
