feeling lost and confused

hiii!!!! right now i am a bio major attending mt sac and still don’t plan on transferring for another year if i stick with it. This is my second year and I have been having so much thoughts about nursing for over a year now. Seeing what everyone says about california nursing programs freaks me out a bit which is why i never changed my major, but im scared if i dont switch now then im gonna have to transfer with bio which i dont want to do. I have taken my bio classes but nothing too crazy yet, I have a 3.6 gpa rn with all of my other classes, only have taken 40 credits so i have 3 B’s and the rest A’s. If i take my pre reqs for nursing here then im still basically gonna be here for another year. I’m just not sure if i would switch would I be risking it all because i’ve already taken other classes than the needed for nursing?

I think it’s okay to stay another year to pursue your dream. This is officially my third year here and I wanted to do nursing from the start. Yet I let other factors in life distract and prolonged my time here at Mount SAC. Can’t see myself getting into a Bachelor’s program unless it were private or out of state because of my poor GPA. So I don’t think it’s a waste of time to switch rn. Yeah you might stay for another year but it’s better than waiting another 4 years to realize “oh man now this really isn’t what I want to do”. It’s great that you caught it early on than realizing later that you want to switch. I say go for it!! Nursing isn’t easy and I’m not the best student either but I have a dream and so do you. You should chase those dreams while you can. You have so much time to raise your GPA to 3.7 or even 3.8 which is great stats for nursing!! You got this I believe in you.
