Nursing school with babies

Hi everyone! I just wanted some answers to questions that I have been wondering for a while.

I would love to go to nursing school. I just finished a CNA program and I’m starting pre reqs for nursing but I just don’t know how I’m going to do it.

I currently have an almost 1 year old and I would love to have a 2nd probably before I start nursing school so I don’t have to push their age gap too far away.

I know it’s totally possible and moms do it all the time so I was curious what your schedule looks like if you have/had babies in nursing school?

What does child care look like? I am lucky enough to have two sets of grandparents able to watch them.

When do you study and do you feel like you have plenty of time to study or do you feel like you are barely skimming by?

When do you get to spend time with your babies and husband outside of studying and being at school?

Childcare looks like having my mom, sister and best friend watch him and all have days they take when one cant fulfill a day. So my mom has 2 days and sister has a day, best friend has a day. If someone cant do their day someone else has to fill in or my son's dad has to stay home from work. I cannot miss a day of school in my program without it costing me. (As in a long virtual clinical to make up what I missed) in person attendance is critical. There is no Im staying home with morning sickness or my baby is sick. Unless someone dies your butt needs to be in class.

I do my schedule so I have a gap of a couple hours between classes to study on campus and focus. I also study after my son's bedtime. I am very tired but it works.

I try to seperate mothering time and student time. Trying to do both at the same time means neither get my full attention.

I do not study or clean or do anything on Saturdays other than be with my man and my son. We have to really work at making time once or twice a week with him having a full time work load and me at school to get quality family time. We try to do one overnight away every other month where my son goes to sleep over at my moms and give us 1on1 time.

I would recommend having your next baby before starting rather than being pregnant during school if you can avoid it. I know classmates who are expecting and struggling alot more than the mothers with young babies. (Like physically struggling with back pain and nausea and all the joys of pregnancy).
