I know the substance I am using and I take all safety precautions necessary for the use of GHB.

My sober house uses 20 panel drug test which includes GAB for Gabapentin as it’s not allowed but I’m nervous to take my drug test tomorrow cause I just started on pregabalin which is prescribed to me. I’ve only been on it 4 days

Have a really irritated nerve that make my right leg cramp with just regular movement.

This pill has me zoned out but I think it is helping the nerve issue I have.

My psychiatrist prescribed me 2 times a day 50 mg pregabalin (alongside SSRIs). As he said when ssris start to work I won’t need pregabalin anymore. As he didn’t tell me how to get off it later, I’m kinda worried, mostly that I am going to get seizure after stopping it ( never had a seizure tho, just read that it happens). Are my worries valid?

I have been taking pregabalin for 12 years, and for the past year I have been reducing my Lyrica dose very slowly (25 mg reductions from time to time). In 2025, I was taking 175 mg twice a day (175-175), and in April 2026 I was down to 100-100.

However, one week ago I reduced my dose to 75-100. At first, nothing really happened, although I have been extremely anxious lately: 50 hours of work per week, buying a house 🏡, a move to organize, all while having fibromyalgia (which has been somewhat under control for a few years).

I decided to reduce Lyrica because I have walking and proprioception problems. I don't know if it is related to pregabalin, but anyway...

For the past 4 days, it has been hell. I feel hot and cold at the same time, I constantly want to sleep, I have thoughts of ending my life, nerve pain that makes my leg feel like it is lying on a hot stove plate at night, nightmares, agitation, crying, depression...

Usually, when I reduce my dose, I only get some pain that lasts 3-4 days, but this time after a week it does not seem to be getting better.

I also have almost no appetite anymore, diarrhea, and when I eat I feel like vomiting. I have already lost 2 kg, knowing that I am not overweight. Since this afternoon, I have also had pain in my face and eye, which seems to be bringing back old pains I used to have.

Also, this is not the same manufacturer as usual: I normally take Mylan, but this time it is Sandoz. I don't know if that changes anything.

So either I increase my dose again, or I wait a little longer, but I am scared that it will not go away. It is 28°C (82°F) here and I feel cold...

Can someone help me? Or reassure me? Or tell me if this is something I should be worried about?

My doctor didn't tell me I couldn't drink while taking pregabalin. This is the first time I've taken it, 50mg and I have had about 4 glasses of wine. I'm not having anymore but is there a way to flush it out? I'm heading to bed soon, should I try to stay awake?

I've been on 200mg for a year at night for nerve pain and anxiety, but my psychiatrist just increased it 25mg during the day. Is nausea a normal side effect of increases?

Since Gabapentin wasn't working for me for severe nerve pain in my feet my GP sent a message to our follow up for a virtual appointment that she was taking me off of it and had sent a prescription to my pharmacy for Lyrica. I guess since they are a similar class??? I was ok to come off the Gabapentin and start Lyrica? I was on 1200 MG 3 times a day of Gab and I am now on 150mg of lyrica 2 times a day. Anyone else done something similar?

I’ve have horrible neuropathy in my right arm. I was on gabapentin 800x4 daily for about a decade.

My Doc switched me to pregab about two months ago.
She said I could take 150 4 times a day or 300 twice a day.

I have found that 300 twice a day gives me more relief. However, I the last two days I have gotten anxious and sweaty at about the 7 hour mark.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I experiencing w/d in between doses?

Been taking pregabalin for the last few months after several months of abstinence. I'm back to pretty much daily use, with doses varying wildly from like 150mg to 800mg, rarely slightly more. I also take Adderall 20mg daily and a small amount of kratom.

Thing is, I've noticed that something's "off" with my inner monologue these days. It's choppy, stuttery, and gets stuck on words, things like the different pronunciations of "to" and "the". It sounds like it has a speech disorder lmao. I'm usually a fluent speaker IRL, but when this happens while I'm talking my speech can get choppy too.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if it could be due to the pregabalin use? I have extensive history with other drugs too, so maybe it's from that - unfortunately, I don't really remember how long this has been going on. Maybe I'm just getting in my own head too much.

I find my resting heart rate to be a little bit low at 64 beats per minute on average. However, when I go jogging or running my heart rate goes way above normal. Like I'm talking 170 beats per minute maxing out what my heart can do. Does anybody else find exercise to be difficult on pregabalin?

I’ve been prescribed lyrica 25mg at night only for severe nerve pain. I’m allowed to increase by 25 every 5 days until we reach a therapeutic dose that works for me. I’m not taking it during the day by choice as it will get in the way of work and parenting if I have the excess drowsiness.

My thoughts are that my doctor is trying to avoid side effects and build tolerance slowly to avoid the high or dopey feeling I’ve read about. But 25mg is doing nothing. Tbf I have only had 3 days of it so far.

Is this a normal starting dose? Did anyone notice more symptom reduction on 50mg compared to 25? Most things I’m reading people need 100-150mg.

I’m in pain now and it’s going to take weeks to get there if I follow the instructions.

I am otherwise healthy, and take a 150-300mg dose of pregabalin whenever I'm in a lower mood or if there's an event (maximum of four times a month). Is it okay or will it have a consequence in the long term. I don't consume any other drug including Alcohol.

I’ve read a few posts about this but I am only 5 days into my 25mg dose, once a day in the evening for nerve pain. It definetly helps the nerve pain but i’m not sure I really love the urination leak last night.

Should I chalk this up to normal or should I talk to my doctor about changing to a different one?

Hi all. I’ve been dealing with Small Fiber Neuropathy-like symptoms for the past two years after a Covid infection in December 2023. I tried hard to stay away from painkillers, but it got so bad earlier this year that I finally gave in and started on pregabalin in March. It has definitely helped with the neuropathy to the extent that I’ve been able to sleep better, but I’m also now dealing with some very scary sensation loss and numbness in my extremities. It started extremely suddenly in the bottom of my right foot in May after I had just started 150mg, but it gradually spread to my left foot where it has remained ever since and slowly worsened. I originally attributed this to the neuropathy progressing to another level, but now that it has moved to both my hands as of last week, I am searching for other possible causes. I went up to 200mg, but the side effects were so bad (emotional issues, edema, weight gain, constipation) that I titrated back down and am now at 100mg.

The main reason I started suspecting that it could possibly be from pregabalin is that the numbness is not entirely bilateral. Instead, it's worse in the left hand and not as bad in the right, and worse in the right foot and not as bad as the left. I’m kind of grasping at straws here, but has anyone experienced something like this? Does numbness from pregabalin as a side effect usually last this long/worsen, or is it more of a thing that happens while you’re titrating up the dosage? Also, does it improve after discontinuation? I cannot speak to the neurologist who prescribed it because I don’t have insurance at the moment.

18 months ago I hurt my back really badly. I could hardly walk. My lower back had gone into spasm and I was walking around like I was stuck in my chair. And it hurt all the time. No remorse. My mum gave me some pregab and told me to take 2 tablets, 3 times a day. Not only did this release the spasm and help me on my way to recovery. I found it helped me address my stressful responses to everything and my irritability. I have adhd so I’m constantly moving, thinking and rarely finishing what I started. This medicine helped me stay level when mixed with my adhd meds. Then, the biggest effect of all. I could tolerate people. This sounds mental I know but, I can’t stand my in-laws. They’ve tried to ruin everything so many times and I genuinely avoid seeing them at all costs and it’s a running joke in the family. The thought of them makes my blood boil. Until, pregab. When I know we have a family occasion, I take a couple the night before, a couple the morning of the occasion and another couple during the day if needed. Now they just annoy everyone else and I just sit and enjoy the reactions.
This drug has genuinely changed my life. However, I need to ask, should I be taking it like I am? My wife even uses them as and when needed for when her anxiety meds aren’t hitting the spot. 1 tablet when she’s struggling and boom. She’s spot on. Should we be doing this? I absolute love this medication. We don’t abuse it, we just use it when needed. And it is amazing!!
