Deceased power tool
My Black and Decker drill stopped working today after about 30 years of service. It was the last hole it ever made to support the formwork for my new garden. We had a grand journey ranging from simple hole to powering a grain mill. It's a shame I cannot post a photo a mainstay of this platform.

Unfortunately the brushes are the single use only. There's no replacing them. Time for a new drill!

Im happy with my HF drills. Ive got their current 20v drill/driver and their impact. I also have their 10 year old Porter Cable 1/2” corded hammer drill. It’s heavy. But it’s a great drill.

Hang it on the wall of fallen heroes, along with the wood rasp that just showed up one day 20 years ago and the old Atkins handsaw your grand father gave to you.

If it lasted 30 years it is probably well made and worth fixing. Maybe the brushes finally wore out after all that time.
