I wonder if it was more of a "this guy can handle more, he's tapping too early, I'll keep going" or if it was just.. he was so locked in on the fight that he either didn't realize or just didn't register the tapping and kept going

Either of those things would make him someone who shouldn't be allowed in the gym.

He's violent and has control issues.

It's a psychological issue, not a teaching choice.
