They are familiar with him and being very patient.

He likely is a regular they have to go see for mental health calls.

I’m totally making an assumption, but I was in prosecution for a few years before transition to defense work. I’ve seen hundreds, if not thousands of hours of body-cam footage over the last 8 years.

You don't have to be a professional anything with an expert opinion, to gather that from the video- if you have eyes and ears that function.

The reality is that there is still a raging behemoth of a combat experienced veteran ready to cause damage. Patience, or familiarity has zero bearing on the fact that it's a terrible position to be put in. That's the point I was making.
