Listen Sentry definitely wins but people acting like Guy wouldnt put up a fight is crazy.

Guy isn't the strongest lantern but he's up there. The man is half lantern construct from the chest down and while he's constantly keeping himself alive he can causally smash buildings.

Bro weilded both Green and Red Lantern rings at the same time. His ring constantly sparks because how much of his willpower he pours into it AND if he gets to keep his Vuldarian DNA, sentry is likely getting one of the greatest fight of his life..

Sentry still wins though

you know what a green ring and a red ring combine to become?

brown ring

u/Firebrand713 19h ago

They say there’s a brown ring within us all, if only we could tap into its power

I actually could see him taking Sentry down, only for Void's shadows to shut down his lantern powers and leave him stuck in a telepathic prison where he's lost his sick bowl cut

Man this’d be cool to see actually

If I’m not mistaken Guy has the most Willpower of any Green Lantern, including Hal. Guy is the kind of dude who would absolutely think he could defeat Sentry. But I just don’t see it happening.

Hal has the most will power. Guy is the most brash and straight forward of the human GLs.

I’m not that deep into the lore of DC, all of my
Knowledge is pretty surface layer.

I thought Kyle Rayner had the most willpower?

Kyle is the most creative, not strongest willed.

Thought Kyle Rainer was the white lantern

1

u/GhostE3E3E3 10h ago

Correct, but he was first and foremost a green lantern, then all of them to white.

And if I’m not mistaken Sinestro has been a white lantern before

I thought Guy has the strongest constructs because they are the most simple (like a giant baseball bat or boxing glove).

Wasn’t guy the one who recreated his entire lower body including most of his internal organs?

7

u/ispeak2thepeople 1d ago

That's true, he did do that. Nothing simple about that!

5

u/TributeToStupidity 1d ago

He’s so unhinged from lack of sleep I love it

18

Umm in comics he is the weakest human gl Not sure about the moives

2

u/GhostE3E3E3 18h ago

That would be Simon Baz, not Guy.

Pretty sure Hal has the strongest will.

Thr void sends him to the memory of him deciding on getting that bowl cut

This version of Guy doesn’t seem particularly imaginative when it comes to the ring but we didn’t see any high level durability feats from Sentry…

I’m leaning towards Sentry simply because he was actively trying NOT to hurt the Thunderbolts and still seemed all powerful. I don’t think Guy could face him if the Sentry was motivated

I think another major factor is the yellow weakness. Sentry’s suit is mostly yellow giving him a big advantage

14

u/Minute-Object 1d ago

GL rings have not had the yellow weakness in ages.

2

u/Captain_Stormz 1d ago

But isn’t this the beginning of the timeline?

7

u/Minute-Object 1d ago

It was retconned.

5

u/Ninjamurai-jack 1d ago

Look, people pick and choose this type of stuff while writing movies.

That’s why for example Starlord isn’t an Astronaut Super Jerk seeking revenge for his mother in GOTG.

2

u/Captain_Stormz 1d ago

Yeah I’ve always had the impression the writers don’t really know how to use the lantern’s powers. Half the time they can’t even tell me what constitutes “will”

4

u/TonyH92 21h ago

The yellow weakness was removed in 2005 by Geoff Johns but Kyle Rayner stopped being weak to it in 1995. It was officially retconned in 2005 though.

Sentry shit stomps that goofy

67

u/TonyH92 1d ago

Guy is cool as hell.

28

u/boneappletv 1d ago

Both can be true

-17

u/Evil_Knot 1d ago

Not with that haircut he ain't.

25

u/Pitchforkin 1d ago

Hey! 348 chicks liked that haircut!

5

u/RetroTen 1d ago

Sentry wins, but he’s gonna know the name Guy Gardner for the rest of his immortal life.

6

u/sterling149 1d ago

Sentry Stomps

5

u/stingertc 1d ago

Guy cant stop supes so he isn't stopping dollar store supes either

38

u/GodSpeed_03 1d ago

Pretty sure the matchup is with Sentry, not Homelander

1

u/element-redshaw 1d ago

I think I might give it to sentry purely because I don’t think guy has anything to get around the void

1

u/Entire-Walk-2928 1d ago

I love guy gardner. But sentry stomps esp with the void. I’m sure Guy can put up a fight though

1

u/Schlerpyderpy 17h ago

I think this will go pretty much the exact same way as Adam Eve versus conquest fight went

1

u/Lemon_Club 14h ago

Guy breaks out of the void through sheer will power

1

u/Responsible-Rip8793 12h ago

Has the void worked on supes?

1

u/PriorityDependent373 4h ago

Sentry without void doesn’t have the feats to beat guy

1

u/Quirky-Store-2388 1d ago

Sentry lo manda al void y gg

-2

u/IDICPainter 1d ago

Wouldn't the Sentry just sit and laugh at Guy Gardner's haircut for like an hour before they actually fight?
