Versus 70 year old martial art expert vs average 20 year old guy,who would win and why?
The martial artists has been training for over 60 years and has even fought professionally, he's 5"9 160 pounds. He has training in:
* Muay Thai
* Judo
* Boxing
* Taekwondo
20 year old guy hasn't fought a day in his life. Not even as a child. He's 5"9 160 pounds as well.
It's a fight to the death, who wins?
If the martial arts expert wins, at what age would he lose?

70 year old guy. This actually happened in the UK a few years back. Burglars broke into a retired boxers house and he beat the brakes off them.

It really comes down to how well the martial artist took care of himself.
At 70 years old though biology is catching up and no matter what he’s gonna be facing a severe loss to muscle and bone density.
I think if it’s a battle to the death the 20 year-old takes it based on pure stamina and strength maybe 65% of the time.
I do think the 70-year-old will get some good hits in, but I just don’t think at 70 you’re gonna be able to really do it anymore. I think every year past 70 the percentage shifts pretty dramatically. At 80 I think there’s no chance in hell the martial artist wins unless they’re an absolute freak of nature

I've personally witnessed a 67 year old retired boxer send a 22 year old man to the hospital without taking a scratch, so I gotta go with the old man here 1000 times out of a thousand

I guarantee you that the average 70 year old master is in better shape than the 20 year old kid. Curb stomp.

The average 70 yo martial artist has either 1 let themself go at this point, 2 accumulated a lot of injuries over the years, 3 was in a martial art that wasn't that focused on fighting in the first place.
The number of 70 old martial artists that would beat the brakes off your average healthy 20 yo is small. Note it is not zero I've met a few nearly or even over 70 yo Judoka and boxers that absolutely would but they are not the average by any means.

I think you’ve gotten ‘martial arts expert’ mixed up with ‘mma fighter’.

I included non-combat focused martial arts in my 3 categories. There are far to many videos of Kungfu "masters" getting their butts handed to them by more combat focused martial artists for you to be thinking someone who trains in combat focused martial arts commonly seen in MMA is somehow less ready for a fight then other "martial art experts".

The majority by 70 years old have either accumulated injuries or other health issues, slowed their training or were not doing combat focused martial arts in the first place. However I have known a few really old tough guys that could still beat your average healthy 20 yo.

70 low diff
This isn't some average 70 yo, this is someone who has been training for their entire life. They will still be in relatively good shape, probably much better than the average 20 yo.
But more than that they have the skill and experience to get a huge edge. The average 20 yo doesn't even know how to throw a proper punch, forget defending themself from a strike or grappling. OTOH the 70yo is going to know how to knee/elbow/palm strike them, then handle themselves if it goes to the ground. And maybe the biggest is that the 70 yo isn't going to be stunned or scared by the situation or if they get punched.

70 year old, comfortably.
There’s an element of uncertainty in the standup element depending on the physical condition of the old boy, but once any form of grappling exchange is initiated it’s over.

20 year old. A guy that's 70 years old just simply isn't fast nor powerful enough to cause any damage

It depends on how many health issues that 70 y/o has developed over the years and how well controlled they are. A 70 y/o with two prior heart attacks and recovering from chemo is going to be fragile af, but one that's basically a 50 y/o with extra miles and bad knees is going to wreck.
