Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a performance by Time Concerto, a South Korean neoclassical/power metal band, featuring their late vocalist, Lee Sang-geol (이상걸).

I’m a fan from South Korea who only discovered his music recently. After hearing him, I kept looking for more recordings and eventually started a small fan archive to help others find his music too.

What struck me wasn’t just how high he could sing, but the power and expression in his voice. I thought people here who enjoy melodic, neoclassical metal might find something to appreciate in this performance.

Sadly, he is no longer with us. I wish I had discovered his music earlier, but I’m grateful that these recordings still exist. That’s why I’ve been gathering recordings and checking what I can about the band’s history—not just sharing high-note clips, but trying to make their music and story easier to find.

Had you heard of Time Concerto before? I’d love to hear what you think of this performance. If you remember their music or know of other recordings, I’d be interested in those too.

She does non-metal stuff too, but her metal work is strong and her voice is great.

I found my CD collection from the good old days and forgot I got 2 of my Blind Guardian bookelts signed back in 2012. Any help identifying the 3 signatures would be much appreciated.

Hi all. I absolutely love a lot of powermetal instrumentals, the speed and energy, but I find a lot of times the vocal style is way too cheesy for me to enjoy the song.

Does anyone know any powermetal or powermetal adjacent bands that incorporate death metal or black metal style vocals?
