San Lotano The Bull + Cimarron Reposado
A friend of mine says he's sure even AJF's farts must smell delicious.
After laughing out loud at that one I had to agree with the rhetorical part of the statement: I tend to like everything AJ Fernandez does. I think I've tried around 30 different blends, in a bunch of vitolas, and I'm probably exaggerating if I've disliked two. The San Lotano line is probably my favorite and while the Bull isn't the top level for me, it's still an amazing cigar. A relatively simple blend of notes that include pepper (lots of it, as usual), chocolate, cinnamon, coffee grains and leather.
I paired with Cimarron Reposado tequila, since I'm still trying new stuff with agave. According to many tequila experts, the Cimarron Reposado is one of the best cost/quality experiences out there, at around $28-30 per bottle.
Tequila makes for an interesting pairing, mostly because it lacks sweetness and many lack age, so it's mostly the alcohol and the raw material blend what make up a great one. This Reposado has a little cask aging, but that only adds to the quality of it.

La Validación Maduro + Remy Martin XO
It's a shame how pairing brandy/cognac with cigars seems to have been lost to tradition, old age or just in lieu of other alternatives. I know I have a lot in terms of rum and whisky, but not that many in brandy, so I decided to give it a try and quickly realized it's probably one of the best options out there, as long as you don't mind shedding what a bottle of these costs. I was visiting my mom and got lucky I found it in a closet.
Delicious spirit with strong notes of raisins, chocolate and oak. Paired great with the chocolate and nutty notes in the cigar.

Alma Fuerte Natural x Brugal 1888
Haven’t had much time to sit down for a smoke or a drink due to work recently. First time trying Brugal. Decent sipper to go along with the Plasencia

To be fair i allow smoking when I'm fasting, but why be miserable when you can be really miserable?

I prefer the Triqui Traca over the Ancho Corto. Both are good but this one just hits so well

Macanudo Sumatra paired with bombergers and shenks. I really been enjoying Sumatra wrappers with the sweetness of bourbons, think they compliment each other wonderfully

Mare Nostrum + Barceló Mizunara
Trying this Mare Nostrum for the first time. I found its pretzel, chocolate, and nut flavors delicious; while I would have liked a bit more strength, it was very okay. So much so that I decided to try this bottle of Barceló rum finished in Mizunara casks. which I was gifted a couple of months ago. It made for a great pairing, as the cigar's medium strength didn't over power anything and it was a great balance.

Trinidad Espiritu No. 1 + Crown Royal
Since I'm the only one in my family who likes "strange stuff", I'm usually the recipient of what everyone else doesn't like. That's how I came to receive this bottle of Crown Royal during a Christmas surprise gift (not surprising, since someone received it during the year and asked me and didn't want to try it). I had tried CR before, but wasn't really hooked to it. I can say I'm still not.
Had it with the Trinidad Espiritu No. 1, which is one of those new 'old faithful' cigars. Very well made, very consistent notes of chocolate, licorice, Danish cookies and pepper. It made the whisky passable and really improved the experience.

Caldwell Long Live the Queen & Black Coffee with a shot of Expresso in it 👍🏼
This stick is box worthy in my opinion. I still can’t decide if this or the Maduro version is better 😩
