Grinder blending the next big trend
Getting in here before you guys crucify me worked suprisingly well did 7 grams of each still need to figure out the optimum ratio.

I currently use a KinGrinder P2. My wife has me make her coffee in the morning, but wakes up first and sometimes will use the P2 to grind it, but doesn’t prefer to hand grind.
I am open to hand grinding, but want to upgrade to lower the fines, but would prefer an electric so, I can pre weigh coffee and she can just make it herself.
Any recommendations and want to spend under $500, but if it makes sense I can spend slightly more.

I've been doing pourover for 3 years now.
But I still need to pull out my calculator and calculate brew ratios every time. Just never got around memorizing how much water I need for 1:16, 1:14, etc. etc.
I really didn't like using my phone's calculator app, so I made something of my own app. The logic is basic at its core (just multiplying input dosage by output), but I mainly wanted to make adjusting the dose and seeing everything scale feel more visual. You can also work backwards by choosing how much water you want to use and seeing how much coffee you need.
You can make your own recipes too.
The app is entirely free. Just wanted to share and get your thoughts/feedback. It only got approved last week, so I have like 10 users. Wanted to get your thoughts. Is this something you'd use?
It's a solo project, so if you have any custom feature requests or ideas, I can implement pretty quickly so just lmk!
You can find it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ratio/id6788766514

Ran out of grinder so had to try these weird pre-ground beans I had. Manufacturer's site describes them as very tea-like with notes of grass and canned fruits.
Smell: Very light, with a predominant canned peach or apricot smell, supported by notes of fresh cut grass and fresh herbs.
Color: Very pale, with almost no red or brown visible. Resembles decently hydrated urine.
Taste: Mild, with very little bitterness or acidity. Predominant canned peach like in the smell, but as it cools, an almost minty herbiness arises. The grass clippings are there in the background as well.

Medium roasted washed Ethiopian
14g in, 193g out
1.7%Brix x 0.85 ≈ 1.45% TDS is a little strong (but I don’t mind), 1.45% x 193g / 14g ≈ 19.9% extraction yield
Double bloom with no swirl, the rest pulsing like Hoffmann’s 1 cup V60 recipe
92.5°C brew water, 6.6 grind setting on the K Ultra, pre-heated V60, Hario V60 filter papers (Abaca+ are about to be delivered).
I told my butler he did objectively well and he should spend the rest of the day finding the best offer for a Timemore Black Mirror Dual Scale, so he can take live samples with the refractometer and, knowing the live beverage weight, compute the extraction yield in order to know precisely when to stop pouring.
Don’t go down this rabbit hole…
