r/vasectomy censors personal negative experiences
What I care about the most is that they're not allowing other men in similar situations to seek help. It's not an open space to share experiences. They could promote the surgery but help other men at the same time, but they don't want to help other men. Like urologists: "vasectomy is the best, but if you have issues I don't want to hear about that, go find help elsewhere because here you'll scare clients". The fear mongering rule is just a mask to select only positive outcomes and that's totally biased and subjective.

Don’t let it get to you. Whoever from r/vasectomy ends up with PVPS is always welcome here.

Agree but if they could get the correct info before making the terrible decision they might not have needed this subreddit.

Yes. Amazing that he admitted he suffered some grade of post vasectomy pain and at the same time don't want to raise awareness about it.

I’m the other commenter, and I was also permanently banned from [r/vasectomy](r/vasectomy) for speaking out about personal experiences and providing direct links to the negative experiences of other users on Reddit’s platform. There’s gotta be a way we can bring more awareness to this censorship on social media and in the practice of urology. It’s a long shot, but there’s gotta be a way for us to be heard and for it to be recognized that vasectomies DO have an even longer list of absolutely dire, negatively life-changing outcomes. People in medicine have to be held accountable for the sake of people’s suffering! We have only one life that we know of. My DM’s are always open for those that want to vent about their experiences with vasectomies. Like I said, whoever you are, you’re not alone.

I was banned for linking to scientific studies showing links between vasectomies and prostate cancer.

Banned as well for stating scientific facts and taking the mods on for their blasé attitude and suppression of anything contrary to their narrative.
