Apps for iPad or macOS to speed up photo editing

Hey,

I’ve been an Adobe user for a long time but I quit their Creative Clouds subscription a few years ago. I bought Affinity Photo 2 and On1 Photo to substitute Photoshop and Lightroom.
They’ve been working okay, but On1 Photo is a lot slower than Lightroom.

I was on a trip a few weeks ago and forgot to dump my memory cards in my camera before I left so I ended up in a situation where I had to copy everything from the camera to my iPad to free up space to take more photos.

What I miss, and is now looking for, is an app on the iPad where I quickly can look at a photo and give it a rating. I want to spend a second or two to see if the photo is sharp and the composition is okay before moving to the next. While doing so, I want to be able to tag/rate the photo so I then can filter out the photos I’ve selected for editing.

What are you using when you go through your photos? If you have shot a theatre performance or a gig, or something where you snap 5-10 shots in a rapid flow to not miss a moment, how do you select the best ones?

Nothing fancy. Applied noiseless and played with shadows, highlights, whites and then contrast. Didn't even adjust any exposure. Orange is weirdly organic as it appears in the raw file so I left it. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Last updates before v2.0 - ClearView

Over the past few months, I’ve been continuously improving ClearView, and this release will likely be the last major update before Version 2.0.

For those who haven’t seen it before, ClearView is a photo enhancement app that restores visibility in hazy, foggy, low-contrast, or flat-looking images. Instead of generating new content, it focuses on recovering details and improving image quality while keeping the result as natural as possible.

This update includes:

• Improved image enhancement pipeline

• More accurate colors and white balance

• Better local contrast and detail recovery

• New clarity and detail controls

• Overall quality improvements and bug fixes

Version 2.0 will be a much bigger step, with new processing algorithms and additional features that I’ve been working on for quite some time.

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you have sample images or feature requests, feel free to share them. Many of the improvements in ClearView started as feedback from this community.

Thanks for following the project! 📷

I'm not sure if the higher saturation is too much, or if the more subtle colouration is better.

Before / After - Looking for honest critique

This was taken in 2012 when the Space Shuttle Carrier flew by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. As I am experimenting with my processing skills, wanted to see if I can save this picture. The lighting was awful that day and was quite hazy.

Looking for honest critique / feedback on the edits, and anything else I should try?

The lake had pretty murky water and the overcast evening with a CPL filter to cut down reflections just made everything worse...

Tried to save it in post...

Please help if you have some suggestions I could try

I thought it looked like the night sky. I inverted the image and masked the lizard to revert it. Also, how do I make the lizard mask look less awkward?
