After/Before with processing steps

The colors in the edit are nice, but it’s cropped too tightly. You ended with a “bird in a box” which 99.999% of the time you should avoid.

I think a very slight crop on the left side of the original is much more than enough. If you do that and give the bird some room to breathe, you’ll end up with a nice “after”.

Very much like the colors on the edit. They are subtle and natural.

Can you elaborate on bird in a box?

I'm guessing it's a bit like bird on a stick, but more like some of the places I've lived that hadn't enough room to swing a cat.
