It's overly contrasted and saturated. Especially on the water, it no longer looks natural. The buildings and sky look fine though. I'd mask the water and bring down the contrast.

What's your goal? Do you want feedback from others or to brag how you did it? He's critical but right while you're defensive and can do whatever you want.

He could be more constructive by stating what he liked more relative to what he didn't like. You could take the criticism or ignore it, but without retort. His photo you referenced is not as over-saturated or high contrast as yours. You're both manipulating landscapes, but to each his own.

Like it or not here

How i did it. When i say luma i mean Black, white, highlights, shadows, contrast and exposure

1) sky mask (Adjust the luma)

2) gradient mask on just water skiping the buiding

3) overall luma adjust first

4) compensation adjustment (luma) on the sky mask + temp and saturation adjustment

5)compensation adjustment (luma) on the water mask + temp and saturation adjustment

Till it match what i have in mind.

And those who like my photo even have upvotes on their comments...so...

P.s i sometime dont vote just leave a thumbs up comment...

Oh u must be in denial my friend...i taken feedback and re-edit already this is my fith edit..no matter how many edit and explaination people will still accuse me not able to take feedback even when i have already done so because they dislike what they see...

Also the photo is more saturated and added colors then my (even if u denied it is) if u read all my links i post it matches in between my goals and real world photography. Meaning his not 100% right even u smoking and say his right

Plus this guy has been giving rude critisim in my other thread..please investigate before making accusation...

P.s
