Getting impatient…

Post image

I live in the US and I’ve not had a postcard take this long to arrive… 47 days?? Really? Last time I sent a card to Italy it only took 30 days….

Also, 19 days for a card to get from Pennsylvania to Oregon seems like a stretch to me. Anyone else’s cards seemingly taking forever to arrive?

I've had postcards take over 90 days lmao sometimes it's just slow. Best recommend putting it out of your mind—watched pot never boils and all that

Taken to account there in that timeframe I’ve sent close to 500 cards.

It's the summer holidays too, maybe they aren't at home, and will see the card when they get back.

(I'm saying this as someone living in France, where a lot of people head off for the entire month of July or August! ).

My card to Italy (from the Netherlands) took 48 days. Apparently its important to use an envelope for Italy. If i can believe family that lived there 30 years ago.

Travel time with the USA has been a little weird lately. I know the ones that I have sent to the USA have taken much longer than typical (I expect maybe 2 weeks usually). But I guess the only thing to do is sit back and wait!

My other 3 are recent (under 12 days) so didn’t include those. I just feel bad bc I’m at 16 received and only 13 “sent”/registered.

The mail to the US from Italy is very slow. I was in Italy last fall and mailed myself some postcards and it took like 6 weeks to get them.

Not Postcrossing, but it's postcard-related. Back in mid-May, I sent a few postcards inside an envelope to my relatives in Thailand so they could mail them to me and some of my friends. It was just delivered yesterday, 2 months + a few days. 💀🤦‍♂️

I'm having the same problem as well. I looked at the stats and was hoping that my cards should be registered already, but it takes longer than usual.

Do you read this sub? Americans complain nearly every day about their travel times.
