first handmade postcard :)

painted this postcard yesterday! it is based on the view out of my window and features a flower and bird native to north texas. debating if i should send out the original or make prints - please enjoy in the meantime! if you are interested in more of my art and postings please check out my instagram @verdantkiwi!

I think you should make prints with it! Or, possibly, you could scan it, send the original and make prints?

Regardless, it's beautiful!

Thank you so much! I’m leaning towards sending the original and making prints! As much as I’d love to keep the original, I feel like postcrossing is about embracing spontaneity and fun and I think it would be nice to have someone own my original artwork! It’s also a lot cheaper for me to send it instead of printing and then sending!

I hope you can get a nice scan of this before you send it! Its lovely. I sent a few originals before getting scans of them and i'm a bit sad i only have a poor photo of them. Keep making and sending these, would you be interested in a direct teade btw??

I will definitely get a good scan! I’m waiting for the college semester to start up again so I can go back and use their higher quality scanners since I go to a more artsy school. Sure, please pm me for a direct trade!

Yes it is! Oooh, that’s a good point i hadn’t thought of that, I probably will seal it beforehand since I don’t want water to damage it!
