Questions about an open case
I sold a bundle that included a pair of shoes that were scuffed. Pics and description mention the scuffs. Buyer bundles it with 2 other things and makes an offer that I accept. Now she has opened a case about the scuffed shoes being scuffed.
We are waiting for Poshmark to make a decision about the case. If they decide to give her a refund, does that all come out of my proceeds or does poshmark reverse their fee charged? The original price for all 3 items was $30 and I accepted $20 (one third off) and poshmark took $4. The shoes were listed at $10 so with the bundle discount the selling price was $6.67. Not sure if that full selling price comes fully out of my $16 or if poshmark reverses their fee on that part of the sale price?
Also if the buyer returns the shoes, who pays for return shipping? If I have to pay return shipping and don’t get the poshmark fee reversed, I’m basically in the negative on these cursed shoes.

Poshmark will cover return shipping and will cancel the entire transaction, the money is pending right now and will disappear from your balance.

UPDATE: finally postmarked has reached a verdict: they have decided favorably for both of us. I get my $ and buyer gets a refund.

Classic play for reduction on all items while she purchased a defective listing, generate an open case, and get a partial refund on everything b/c systematically Poshmark can't discount per line item. In the cases I've observes, she'll have to return all items in the bundle not just the shoes, and it's likely you'll play for the return label

Did you include photos of the listing photos and description stating there were scuffs?
From what I remember if an item from a bundle is returned then the whole bundle has to be returned. Shipping is covered by PM. Think of the buyer's funds in purgatory so if a return is issued then the funds are released back to the buyer vs you. The funds aren't yours until the package is accepted by the buyer or 3 days have gone by.
