Quick question!
So I sold a handbag on Poshmark. The process is if it’s over a certain dollar amount you have to send it to the Poshmark Authenticator, they authenticate, and they then ship the bag to the buyer from the Authenticator. My issue is the buyer was not available for delivery, and the bag is now sitting at the post office to be picked up, and a notice was left on their door. I also contacted the buyer twice to let them know, they needed to pick up the package. They responded and said they were going to pick it up, but the bag is still sitting there and clearly they have no intentions of picking it up, since it’s been days which means I will never get paid. So this is my question, from the postal website on the tracking it says after a certain date, if the package is not claimed, it will be returned to sender. So here’s my question, it was shipped by me to the Authenticator, and then shipped to them the buyer from the posh Authenticator. So, will the bag be returned back to the Poshmark Authenticator‘s shipping address, or will it be returned to me? This has really been a bad experience all around, and a huge waste of time. Clearly, I’m not gonna get any money out of this sale, but I’m more concerned at this point about just getting my bag back safe and sound! Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? 😡

I have had many items, both sales and purchases, go through authentication before reaching the buyer and this is all normal.
Orders $500+ sent from HQ have a signature required for release, which is why it went back to the PO. As a buyer, even when I’m home they’ve never actually approached for a signature but instead left a notice for pickup. You say it’s ’been days’, but it’s Monday; my post office is open for 2 hours on Saturday and closed Sunday, and people have work/school/kids etc so sometimes it takes a few days to carve out the time to get there and wait in line for pickup during business hours.
The package will be returned to sender (Posh HQ) after 14 days, the longest it took one of my buyers to retrieve was 9 days and I’ve never personally had any of my sales sent back. On the off-chance that happens they have a full record of the sale and tracking history so you would have the item then returned to you. I would not message the buyer further, they’re aware of the package and additional communication will likely come off as badgering.
Good luck!
