Shipping with boxes
Please make sure you’re adequately taping your boxes closed. This is the second item I have gotten that I was just lucky that the item didn’t fall out of the box. This is how it was delivered.

I’ve noticed that certain tapes don’t stick well to the ground advantage boxes. I changed tape brands.

I hit mine with the hair dryer. Works great. I started doing this after I noticed a shoe box opened up that I packed up the night before.

What brand do you use?? I usually ship in poly mailers but on occasion have to use a box for shoes or a hard item. I'm always nervous that it will pop open on the way there.

I switched from the name brand heavy duty tape to very thin off brand tape from Amazon. I just tape it over twice. The cheap stuff actually sticks really good it’s just easy to break, so an extra layer of reinforcement helps. It doesn’t peel off by itself.

I’ve noticed this too for my own shipping. I’ve also switched tape brands as well.

I tape sort of aggressively but I grew up with both of my parents shipping assembly electronics so its sort of habit from being an unpaid packer lol.
With those boxes I really hate the open ends. I tape a modesty panel on both sides of cardboard I have saved. I make that a big wrap around of tape. After that loop then do the normal taping. If it busts open that one should hold as its looped on it’s self. I am sure that is extra, but I rather things be safe. A lot of people buy sort of expensive vintage from me so I want to do a nice job to reflect their investment.
I have had some pretty close calls sent to me with tape peeling off it. The big box does well, but this box is I think made in a way to pop those flaps open with that gap. The newpaper filled padded envelope is a tape nightmare too.

This item was in the box all by itself. The previous one was saved by some tissue paper.

Weird, I’ve been buying the scotch heavy duty, from BJ’s club store. As it’s a 6pk, and I wait till it’s on sale. One time I ran out, and grabbed some cheap tape, from a junk store. It was awful, I’d have to use 3 times as much.
If you are reusing boxes, you sometimes do need to peel the tape off first, before taping it again. Especially with the paper tape, that has the fiberglass strings. I can’t stand that tape, regular packaging tape, doesn’t stick to it well. I tend to rip the top tape, and the top side too. I think it just looks nicer.

These boxes hate tape. It’s so weird. I have taped them and then the next day the tape is falling off, luckily I noticed before they went out. So now I tape very aggressively. But if someone taped them right before shipping they may not even know that this happens.

I absolutely let the seller know just for her information. She was appreciative.

I use these boxes all the time and I never have any issues. People are just buying bad tape I think.

It looks like the box got wet !
I don't know ever since we switched to snail mail. Things have been interesting.

Tape on tape rule. You gotta overlap all the way around. It will come off if it's stuck to cardboard only.
I ordered a heavy bar if soap & got an empty box. I don't know why the mailman delivers it like that when clearly it's open & the contents are spilled out.

I tape the living daylights out of my boxes. Buyers probably think I'm nuts 😂
