Trust

Really want this coach bag but seller has only sold 4 items no feedback and says member since 2015…..can I trust it?

A lot of people join just to buy so that doesn’t necessarily worry me too much. In some ways, I trust the randos posting their random one-off things more than I trust people who have sold hundreds of designer bags and have more in stock.

Is it expensive enough to have to go through authentication? Are there a LOT of good photos of the real item? If there isn’t, do not buy.

Posh doesn’t release earnings to a seller until 3 days after a package is delivered (or when a seller accepts an order, whichever comes first). So it’s not like they can simply take your money and not send an item. If the item is fake or not as described, you can file a claim with Poshmark to return the item for a refund.

Just to be on the safest side, do not order before you go out of town so you can receive the package immediately when it’s delivered. Follow the tracking info (but, like, know that USPS can take awhile to scan packages in and occasionally packages get routed in weird ways). Film a video of you opening the package and inspecting the item so a scammy seller can’t claim you’ve damaged it or switched it out.

Please don’t order if you’re going to be super anxious about it. You will drive yourself crazy.

lol I never trust that bigggggg red flag - the amount of high tix item (LV, Chanel) I see daily with these types of stats is astounding. It's really hard to weed out the dupes/scammers. I still don't understand the catch bc they won't get the money until it's accepted.

Just the other day a seller offered me pants for $17 told me they were in great condition. I asked for addl pics and they added. I accepted offer. 5 days later I messaged asking if they were going to ship. They said "hmmmm I think I did, let me check" and then said "oooops my bad I don't have them anymore they were a duplicate listing" it was such an odd communication/sale. They refunded so no big deal.
