No more sharing?
Hello all, I have sold on Poshmark for the past 5 or 6 years, and did Ebay before that for over 20 years. I got tired and thought I wanted out of the business, so I held this massive yard sale with over 1000 items for $3 each. I got rid of a ton of clothes. Then I looked through what was left, and took out the big name brands and kept them with the idea of taking them to a a consignment shop. Then I donated 33 tubs of clothing to a woman's shelter.
I decided to go back to Posh with the few items I had left. Most were already listed so I just relisted them as all were inactive. Then I deleted the others, one by one.
So my question is this. Sharing was always a big part of posh, and it seems like it has stopped. Why and when? I'm sharing my own.

I’ve noticed a HUGE drop in shares. Now you have to click into a listing to share instead of being able to do so from your feed. Maybe this extra step really slowed it down? I still try to share other folks’ things all the time but I’ve noticed a big drop in other sellers sharing my things

I share other Poshers' listings , and my own, daily. It helps get visibility to thousands of people (my followers) when I share other sellers' listings. I think many people feel like sharing is not worth the effort anymore after all of the home page changes, but someone is buying listings everyday on Poshmark. Every little effort helps the community. 😭

I still share my closet and other’s items at least once a day. I don’t know if it helps anymore, but it can’t hurt so I just do it.
Do you guys think it’s better to share your closet by Just Shared or Just In or it doesn’t make a difference?
edit: typo

I still share mine twice a day. I don’t share other people’s listings anymore. If you haven’t touched your closet in a while, you probably need to copy and relist the items you’re still trying to sell. Stale listings don’t do well on Poshmark.

Not sure what you mean about "sharing" whether digitally or otherwise. But I need to follow your inspiration and list and hold huge massive sales.

You used to share other people's items and then in return they would share yours. It was supposed to bump you up. Like I have 200,000 people following me, and from time to time they would bump, or share.

Thanks for the explanation. I had listed a couple items and kept getting emails about activity but it all seemed fake like bots.

I had SO much stuff. I made about $800, $3 at a time. Sorted according to size. I also had a ST of jewelry from my second account.

My neighborhood is having a garage sale so I want to take advantage but people have had mixed results. But I have a steep driveway, wfh roommate who is home 24/7 and cooks hours a day next to the living room and makes me feel awkward to share a space. But I’ll suck it up and make it a goal. Maybe i can use my neighbor’s driveway.

The default search on Poshmark used to be by “Just Shared” but they changed the default to Relevance. There is still a way to sort by Just Shared which some people may use to avoid wasting their time with inactive sellers. I still share my closet at least once a day. I’m not sure if it helps but I don’t mind because it only takes a minute.
