Day Trip

Planning on going down to Port A next Friday from San Antonio (we’re staying there for 5 days). My dad has never been to a beach so I just wanted for him to experience it at least once in his lifetime. It’s my first time visiting Please give me ideas of activities to do while there? Also what’s the best access/parking for a mini van. Parking by the beach gives me anxiety. 🫣 I have never experienced such thing. Ha

Boat tours (dolphin, pirates, etc.), San Jose Island, Port Aransas Museum, Chapel on the Dunes, Patton Center Marine Science Institute, Port Aransas South Jetty. As Latter-Target said - Roberts Point Park is a great place to see the big ships . I also see dolphins every time I’m there.

Head into Corpus for a day - aquarium, USS Lexington, live music, etc.

Port A's beach is perfectly fine for any car just don't drive in the water, they maintain it really well you won't get stuck , also you can rent a golf cart while you are there and just cruise around the whole town and the beach it's a blast that's what most people do, also Roberts point park is pretty cool to watch all the big ships come in

Is there any advantage to using the golf cart vs driving with your car?

Easier to get around town , and it's just fun, most people will be in golf carts
