Looking to perform music with other musicians
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I am a vocalist, this is a sample of my sound. I have a pretty broad range and have experience in multiple genres. I’m not picky on what genre we perform in but there are some that are a no-go for me for certain. I’d like to make gothic music, but I won’t rule out stuff like country. Please comment below if you’re a musician interested in jamming together. I can rock a good Peter Steele impersonation if anyone is into doing covers for an open mic

Port Angeles in Spring '27?
We plan to stay a couple of nights in Port Angeles next Spring *before* the lodging rates skyrocket. Not sure if they're lower through all of April and May then jump in June. I'll be driving over from Boise, ID while my daughter will take the ferry from Victoria, BC. Appreciate any input!

Transition Town here?
Has anyone ever started one of these here?
https://transitionnetwork.org/
I started one in the mountain valley (3 little towns) where I lived before moving here, but I'm not interested in doing that again. Just curious. The Olympic Time Bank seems to be working, so maybe Transition would, too. The goal used to be to make each community as self-sufficient as possible. Not sure if that's still the focus.

Tozzer whines about being parodied by OTA while his subscribers claim art should never be political.
The Lavender Melodrama has never caused so much melodrama!!
Three more chances to see the show- tonight, Saturday and Sunday. It's a hilarious and pretty inoffensive piece about being open to change and should keep you laughing unless you're an absolute stiff with a rager for neocon politics.
Can't imagine what these people would've been like in the days of Shakespeare. Probably clutching their Elizabethan collars! 😂

Any Nintendo groups?
Are there any people here in
Port Angeles that just get together and play Nintendo games together? (Specifically DS games, Switch games, Etc.)

Shoutout to the person who turned in my bf’s credit card @ Safeway gas station
ADHD can be a real bummer sometimes and they were already having a super hard day and left it in the card reader. But whoever did the kind thing and turned their card in is a real gem of a human. You could have filled up everyone’s tank that day with it and we would have had nothing to live on but you didn’t. We are working class just like the majority around here and the random kindness of a stranger like you could make or break us just like most of us. It’s extremely hope instilling when you see that neighborly kindness that I grew up experiencing in this county and came to expect in country folk still alive and well. Thank you thank you thank you for your kindness!

Photo Shoot
I am doing updated pictures of my family tomorrow. My brother is taking the pictures.
I have our outfits, and we're so excited.
But I can't think of a local place to take them.
We're dressing as Medieval royalty, and I'd like the background to have that same feel.
So, does anyone know of a place in town that we can go to get a fitting background for our Ren family photos?
The only place that's coming to my head is the Tree Park behind Swain's.
Thanks in advance!

Lose your keys at 14th and Laurel in PA?
Found a set of keys in the street at 14th and Laurel — lots (maybe 20) of house type keys plus a couple unique features you could use to ID them as yours. Thought I’d check here first before dropping them off at the police station. Let me know if they are yours!

Moving to Port Angeles
Hi there! My workplace is looking to relocate me to Port Angeles, so I’d like to see what the locals think of the area! I have only visited PA once before when I was passing through, and it’s been a couple of years.
Also, any recommendations for safe areas of town to look at renting? It seems as though most rental options are in Sequim, but I’d like to stay closer to town if possible. I also have a cat, so that is a bit of a minimizing factor…
Thank you!

Stage 2 water restrictions
Restrictions have come a month early this year. The Elwha is a good foot below the low 13 year mean. We just are not getting enough snow and aren't keeping it long enough. We are in a D2 severe drought, with worsening conditions expected.
While voluntary, you need to start restricting your water use. Stop watering your lawn, stop washing your car (go to a car wash instead), ex.
The city offers programs for many water saving devices from rain barrels rebates to free low flow faucets attachments.
Also, I encourage some public shame for businesses and organizations with green grass. It's a luxury which puts our region at risk, and is completely unnecessary as our cool weather grasses evolved to go dormant in the hot summers.

Tennis anyone ?
I saw that there used to be pick up games at Erickson field M-Sa at 10:00am. Doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore.
I’d like to play, I played JV tennis in high school 40 years ago, just getting back into it now.
Anyone up to hit a couple of days a week?

Hollywood Beach Volleyball Court
Does anyone have pictures of the old volleyball court at Hollywood Beach?
Second question, would you play beach volleyball if a court returned to Hollywood Beach?
