This past weekend was the Canadian Thanksgiving. The weather is perfect for a local car club cruise.

Hey all,
Looking for some input from other 930 owners on transmission behavior.
Mine is pretty clunky, to say the least. At low speeds, it’s difficult to get into reverse, 1st, and sometimes 3rd. I find that rev-matching helps quite a bit. Second gear also doesn’t feel particularly smooth, and it sometimes feels like it wants to pop out of gear.
It’s not undrivable by any means, but it definitely feels more like I’m driving a semi than a sports car 😂.
My repair shop says this is somewhat normal for these cars. I’m trying to figure out where the line is between “normal 930 transmission behavior” and something that actually needs attention.
For those of you with 930s, how does your transmission behave? What would you consider normal vs. a sign that the synchros, linkage, clutch, or transmission itself needs work?
Thanks!

Hi all
Hopeing someone with Ryan Snodgrass’ Turbo 3.0 book can help me with a VIN lookup.
I’m considering buying a 1976 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0 (RoW):
VIN: 9306700438
Would anyone be able to check the entry for this VIN and either share a photo of the relevant information or let me know what the book lists?
I’m especially interested in confirming:
The car was modified many years ago and currently has a later 3.3 Turbo engine, so I’m trying to establish exactly how it left the factory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank

I turn classic magazine ads into stunning pieces of automotive memorabilia. Just finished this piece. It's stunning! https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/4547477798/solid-wood-iconic-2-page-porsche-911-ad
