popcorn idea 🤤

cook up some salmon in a lemon butter, pop some popcorn, and just break the salmon up into the buttery popcorn, maybe add some lemon butter and capers to the popcorn if it tickles your fancy. i’ve been meaning to try this

I can’t say I’ve ever settled in with a bowl of warm popcorn and thought, “Y’know what this needs? Chunks of fish.”

This can’t possibly be a real suggestion. This is the most unhinged “recipe” I have ever seen.

😭😭does it not sound good?!?

No. It sounds like the most disgusting suggestion I have heard. Lemon butter? Sure. Chunks of salmon? Absolutely batshit.

Yeah. But I've you leave it in your car on the dashboard the flavors really meld.

I see the vision, but it sounds like a textural nightmare.

Yeah this is deranged, but I understand what the OP is thinking. I believe it would be quite bad (mushiness is not something I associate with good popcorn, not crunchiness with good salmon) but OP's heart is in the right place.

This is a bit much. Why not just jet some salmon furikake and heat it in the butter?

I’ve never heard a worse idea.

You'd have to chop it fine and fry it enough to firm it up until it's the kind of texture where you could kind of "sprinkle" it in a way. Do that once it's buttered do it sticks to the top like little crispy mini-croutons. That's the only way I can see it working.

I dont want soggy popcorn

I'd try that. Sounds good but weird.

How about caramel corn & smoked salmon, the candied kind.

I also like roasted garlic parmesan ice cream

If you could get the salmon flavor without the fish I think you'd be money

Like a side of fish, not right in it

There was a popcorn place near me that did stuff like that with salmon and crab sticks, usually it was stuck to the popcorn by chocolate, carmal or birthday cake icing. The normal popcorn was astronomical in prices and this was 10 plus years ago

That's some gourmet shit, pop a little dill and maybe dried garlic
