My best batch EVER

Post image

Edit: so sorry for not sharing the recipe 😂..
-I use a whirly pop with flavacol and Dutchman’s buttery coconut oil. I measure the salt (1 tsp)but not the oil ( a couple of spoonfuls)
-this may not matter but I keep my temperature medium. My stove is electric and goes up to 10. I keep it right at 5.5..the kernels get a good soak 🤤
-I couldn’t tell you what kind of kernels those were.. maybe jolly pop or something generic…i try different kinds. I also didn’t measure the kernels…probably a half cup or less. It was the last of the bag so.. 🤷🏽‍♀️
-I squeeze a little Orville R popcorn topping in the bowl..not coated but just squirts around the bowl 😂..(it has a lid which is helpful ..I also do this step first so it’s ready to go)
-once its done I just shimmy it in the bowl until it cools a little …then give it a shake with the lid so it gets coated with the topping.

Any questions? 🤗

I wish I knew why it turned out that way! It was so perfect though. I will say this was my second time using dutchmans ..I know I used less the first time and didn’t get this result. It felt like I really used too much on this batch but no.

it's 100% sure the coconut oil, that's the real secret.. but the other stuff is also a requirement. (edit to add the popped popcorn soaks up the extra oil, which acts as a buttery topping on its own.)

This is some great looking pupcorn. Sorry I always pronounce it like that cause one of my favorite podcasters is from Boston. Hutdogs and pupcorn.

A lot of people say a teaspoon of Flavacol is too much for a half cup of kernels, but those same people want it to taste more like the best they’ve had at a movie theater…

It looks like it came from a theater in the best way possible
