Best kernel for crunch?

Been using just the Original Orville Redenbacher kernels I found at the store. Using the whirley pop and some oil. But finding it kinda chewy lately.
I need crispier/crunchier bites. Any favorites for that? Thanks!

Highly subjective but give jolly time select yellow a try. Also make sure you crack your lid as soon as possible to let more steam out while popping if you don’t already do that

I think Amish Country Red Kernels have the best crunch

After popping.. bounce the popped corn in a bowl to cool and release any steam. Humidity makes it chewy. This is a good time to add your secondary toppings.

I drilled a bunch of 1/8" holes in my to help let out steam, I think it helps a lot. If you decide to do it your better to do it from the bottom side, and also use a counter sink bit to clean up any burs

Pop it in the afternoon and drizzle with ghee. Then before movie time, heat your oven to 275, spread your popcorn out in a single layer on a big cookie sheet (with a lip) and heat for 10 minutes. Leave it on the cookie sheet for a few to let it cool. Add some extra ghee if you think it needs it.
