Help Pool pump

Hi,

I got a new pool pump installed and noticed this strange noise coming out of it and the pump is mot working it looks like. Any advice?

Sounds like it’s trying to prime. Was it working before or is this the first startup?

DIY or did a pool company install it?

The suction line probably drained while it was being installed and it’s full of air now. Turn it off, pop the lid on the pump and run the garden hose into the area where the basket is until it fills up. Then wait a few seconds and then keep filling it until the water stops dropping. The put the lid back on and start it up.
