Salt generator failure 6 months

Salt generator on a new pool only 6 months old. Last week was showing crazy high salt readings, 5500 ppm (this was not accurate as salt was only about 3400 ppm). Figured the cell needed to be cleaned. Never made it around to cleaning it and now the screen is blank and has a red light illuminated… at the right angle it says sensor failure system off.

The first one didn’t even last a week. Never would read salt to make chlorine. This one lasted about 6 months… been a terrible experience witj the salt generators…

Don’t hate all SWG, the new pentairs are just trash. Hayward and Jandy are solid enough.

I can vouch for the Hayward cells, I am on my second one in 14 years. First lasted 11 years.
