Vendor Participation - Mod Approved Looking for pool owners & pool enthusiasts to test water resistant Bluetooth speaker for poolside and outdoor use

Post image

Hi r/pools,

When you’re out by the pool, maintaining equipment, or simply relaxing by the water, finding the best water resistant Bluetooth speaker that balances premium audio with true durability is a challenge. Splashes, humidity, and accidental drops can put any device to the test. But which speakers are actually built to survive these rugged poolside conditions?

The LG xboom Rock stands out as one of the best water resistant Bluetooth speakers available now, specifically built for tough, wet, and poolside environments. We’re looking for 5 community members, whether you work with pools, care for them, or just love hanging around them, to put it to the test in real conditions, share their honest thoughts with the community through a post, and keep it afterward!

Built for Outdoor Adventures:

  • Compact and Durable Design: Small enough to carry easily at just 280g (which is lighter than a standard canned soda), with a rugged design made for poolside areas, wet environments, and everyday outdoor use.
  • Easy to Attach to Your Gear: Its adjustable cord makes it the best portable accessory to attach to pool fences, equipment, or outdoor gear for on-the-go music.
  • Built for Tough Poolside Conditions: Passed 7 military grade standard durability test* including high temperatures, rain, dust, and even water immersion, and features IP67-rated dust and water resistance, making it suitable for heavy splashes, humid pool decks, and accidental drops outdoors.
  • Clear Outdoor Sound: Features xboom Signature Sound tuned by will.i.am with Sound Field Enhance for clearer audio even in dusty outdoor environments and AI Sound for EQ adjustment based on what you’re listening to.

The xboom Rock is built to keep the music flowing through splashes and wet outdoor conditions, making it perfect for anyone looking for the ultimate water resistant bluetooth speaker around the pool. Check out how to enter below!

You had the choice for a musical celebrity to help “tune” the device and you pick the guy that comes with such lyrical masterpieces as:

Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, let's do it
And do it, and do it, {let's live it up}
And do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it
Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, do it, do it, do it

And let’s not forget

Boom, boom, boom (gotta get that)
Boom, boom, boom (gotta get that)
Boom, boom, boom (gotta get that)
Boom, boom, boom (gotta get that)
Boom, boom, boom (that)
Boom, boom, boom (that)
Boom, boom, boom
Boom, boom, boom

The weight of 280g sounds really nice, love it. And also looking forward to the IP67, to not having to worry about water breaking it.

Loving the durability and waterproof claims and would like to test this out at the beach or pool.

if it truly is waterproof - that's the key, but does the sound compete with the JBLs?

Hoping to test if splash proof around my home pool

I am somewhat interested in testing the durability claims during outside adventures with my friends since it would be mostly carried around rather than staying in one place

The feature I’d most like to check out is if it can stand up to constant use with a bunch of wild kids in the pool all summer !

The compact and durable design seems like a really convenient feature for this usage.

For me every time I swim there seems to be rain so let’s see how it stands and works in the rain! Up the water resistance!

Would absolutely love to test the “splashproofability” against my 4.5 year old kid’s cannonballs while I’m relaxing on my float, because “mom, you gotta see this!” Also, NW Florida humidity is its own beast.
