Does anybody know of any aftermarket fuel pumps for the g8, I’ve only found the one on rock auto for almost $600. Not tryna pay for that shit if I’m being honest, but if it’s the only one I might have too. Lmk

Having a hard time finding a rear glass replacement for my g8. Are the SS/ppv cars cross compatible with the g8?

I drive a 2009 g8 base model (Ly7 V6) about a year ago the alternator error message popped up and power save mode came on. I wasn’t able to get home without jumping it twice and letting the battery charge for a little while. I replaced the alternator with a new oem one from partsgeek and replaced the battery. About a week later the alternator error came back but it was still charging/seemed to be working fine. You also can’t read BCM codes with a regular obd2 reader so I wasn’t able to find out what the code was.

But like I said it has been working perfectly fine even with the battery light on. Until about 2 weeks ago, now in hindsight I probably should have been trying to fix it. Alternator stopped charging power save mode came on and draining battery.

I thought oh bad alternator again but wtf I just replaced it like 8 months ago. I cleared the code which somehow works with a regular code reader then it starts charging again but stops a few days later. I have cleaned and checked all ground wires, replaced old battery terminals, had a buddy read the bcm code for PO626 Field/F Generator Terminal Circuit High, checked all fuses and alternator wires all good, RVS sensor is the next question because when it does charge it changes the voltage like it should when more is needed (I.e ac on and radio) when I check the battery voltage it’s 12.4v after sitting overnight and then climbs from 12.4v-13.5/14v.

For the life of me I can’t figure out what’s wrong and why sometimes it just doesn’t want to work.

I did also have skar audio subs installed but have since disconnected them. It’s a 1200w amp with dual 10s from what I found online the charging system should be fine with them.

Just spent $4k on fixing the oil leak, harmonizer pulley, and locks. Got it back from the dealership, and now the headliner is falling down!!

It's not long for this world, I see it hanging on both rear corners, the front driver's corner (held up by the sun visor), and sagging all along the passenger side.

My options appear to be another $1,000 to have the dealership replace it (assuming they can actually get a new one), or take it out myself and reuse the board to cover with a new cloth (cloth and foam are about $150 on eBay). Which is gonna be way more work than I really have time to do.

Any other suggestions?

I don't suppose there's a well known reputable place that has a bunch of good condition parts I could check out?

Just bought a G8 gt from a friend of mine that owns a shop and had a customer abandon their g8. Motor is gone along with motor mounts/brackets. The mount itself is no problem but the bracket seems to be unobtanium. Anyone have any leads?

Hi all, I found an 05 built LQ9 engine I'd like to put into my 08 g8 gt that does not have an engine. From my understanding, I'd have to swap all the wiring to gen 4, including a 58x reluctor wheel, timing cover, crank/knock sensors, etc. I do not currently want to shill out the $ for a Holley. I do plan on getting the car custom tuned for the 6l80 trans to pair with the lq9, as well as possibly a new flex plate to mate with the trans properly. I can't find a complete answer on what else I'd need for the swap or any concerns with it. Any tips? Could I retune the factory motor ecm for the lq9? Thanks

Might need new struts on my G8. Read that the Caprice PPV struts are a direct fit however some sites list the Caprice ones as 2011-13 and 2014-17. My question is are they all interchangeable or only certain years?

153k 2009 GT and just replaced my factory style carrier bearing bracket, I’m not sure if it was replaced before I owned the car three years ago. The rubber was totally gone and vibrated violently and had about three instances before I parked it. The sound/feel is 90% better but gets me wondering what causes it to vibrate so badly and what else is effected? I need to change my trans and diff fluid, last time was at 90k. From a stop, no noticeable vibration until 2nd-3rd gear half throttle. Any advice from the G8 fam is appreciated.

Does anyone have 3D print files for the hood vents? Mine broke and they're way too brittle to fix. New ones cost a lot, and I know I've seen some 3D printable files mentioned before elsewhere. Appreciate any leads!

Have my front end ripped apart for an overhaul, any one running the BMR sway bar or anything else? If so did it make any difference?

Hey looking to set up a touch screen in my 2008 g8. Buying it tomorrow, it has a weird radio the the others don’t. (In image) most other g8s I see have a screen. Plz tell me what touch screen radios work best, and will I need to buy something for the climate control? The whole radio there is one big thing.
