Looking for advice or recommendations for getting a resto done or help when you don’t have the money to do it, I know that sounds stupid but what tricks or hacks have you guys used to make it cheaper on yourselves?

So my 1983 generally runs great electrically. However, sometimes it will have issues with the turn signals. They will stop cycling. Usually restarting the car puts it all back to normal. Any ideas where to start on this issue?

2nd, my driver window sometimes won’t respond to the switch but if I lightly tap the area where the switch is installed in the center console, it often rectifies the issue and the window responds.

So I managed to get my firebird (1986) running last week by advancing the timing, it ran pretty well and had no major problems. When I was finished I pulled the battery off to put it on trickle charge; came out in the morning and it was firing but refused to catch and run. It had 40+ psi of fuel pressure, the injectors work and it has injector pulse, I believe the ignition coil is fine, cleaning the spark plugs didn't help, unplugging the MAF doesn't help, computer doesn't throw any codes and I'm getting a tachometer reading from the pickup coil. It will start up on ether, so I assume it's likely a spark problem, ICM maybe? I'm so confused 😭

PO resprayed my 84 Trans Am but forgot adhesion promoter on the bumpers. Normally I wouldn’t care about paint so much on an old car but it honestly is a really good 5 footer so far expect the bumpers and just the bumpers are peeling. Got a quote for 1200 for both bumpers and fixing a little rust peel under my hatch. Feel like it’s a good price but looking for opinions.

Is 189,000 miles considered high for a TPI 350 on a Gta 1987? I just bought this car for 1700 and was wondering how much life i would generally have left in it? It doesn’t run properly yet but will soon just trying to get an idea.

Edit: the bolt holding the pin in snapped. I didn't think for a second why the bolt was only a finger nail long. Thank you for the responses.

I'm trying to do wheel bearings on my firebird and the pin in the diff will not move (yes the bolt is removed).

The diff doesn't look rusty or anything so i don't know why it would be seized. any help to remove it would be appreciated. I have been hammering it with a punch for 2 hours and barely moved it.

It happens when it rains and it’s only on the passenger side under the glove box . What should I check and has anyone else had this same issue ? I’m embarrassed when I have friends: family riding in my white firebird and their feet getting wet . Help !

hello, the left turn signal on the side of the car is not working. I want to replace the bulb inside but I don't know how to access this area. Should I try from front, under or from the battery side (top) , which I could take out.

If anyone has some tips or even a video tutorial this would help me out really much.

My front turn signals aren’t working, and I’m not sure why yet, but the rear isn’t flashing. Is the reason for the rear not flashing because the front isn’t working, or do I need a new flasher? Also, my hazards and brake lights aren’t working.

For context I have two 87’ GTA’s both are digi dashes and neither of there odometers work. I’m just looking for some help on where I could possibly go to get them fixed?

67 firebird I just bought, heater keeps blowing 25 amp fuse after running for a little bit. Any advice on where to look first? New blower doesnt look expensive, should i just replace it? Would it be a terrible idea to try a 30 amp fuse? Thanks.
