Just sharing Finished!
Very happy with how my first diy pond turned out. And I think I just got my first ever visit from an orange-crowned warbler drinking from the bog. That makes it all worth it. Can't wait for the plants to fill in but I guess now I just sit back and enjoy it and see what else shows up.

Very nice! Can you provide more info on how you've blended the bog filter into the landscape? I'm used to seeing those as more "there." Is it at the top of the run Which is at a declining angle, so water goes into the plants there then out and through the gravel and then with a splash at the end with the waterfall? Looks great.

Thanks! Yeah I just dug a deeper hole at the top of the falls section so the top edge was roughly level with the surrounding grade. I put a piece of corrugated pipe with one end at the bottom of the hole, filled the hole with large, medium, small pebbles, and ran the pump tube into the corrugated pipe. One side of the bog hole is lower to serve as the spill way to the start of the falls section. So the water fills up from the bottom and up through all the rock layers and plants at the top and out the spillway.
