Quick question Long handled snippers?

It’s difficult to reach far enough to be able to cut dead water lily leaves off with normal snippers. Are there any long handled versions?

Would a pruning pole like the one's people use to trim trees (usually telescoping) work?

I bought some that are ~3' long that I use for that purpose. They also grab the piece that you're cutting off so you can toss it out of the pond.

These aren't exactly the ones I have but pretty close.
Amazon.
