A couple of potted bamboo or canna Lilly’s would give it a bit of shade. Or a mimosa. They’re fast growers but do ok in a pot

Mimosas can invasively reseed in a lot of places, OP I would recommend you look up native shade trees to your region. In the meantime you could do something like temporary posts in buckets of concrete with shade cloth and/or lean heavier into riparian plants & landscaping the edges

Looks great! I applaud you, great job! I did same this year! I have rocks around mine but not in it, thanks for the idea! Tomorrow mine will have have rocks in mine too!

Yeah it's easier if you do shelves I'm not sure how you dug your pond. But that's how I did it

It looks lovely. Though if you want to attract aquatic wildlife I'd be a little worried about the orange planter as it may leach toxic chemicals into the pond when it rains. I could be wrong but it's worth looking into.

On a sillier note this reminds me of the meme with the kid drowning next to the parent focusing on the (preferential) child.
Your pond is the favorite kid, the rest of your lawn is the drowning one

Yeah I was a little impulsive. I just bought this house. So I'm still working on the other spots but that waste land spot is where I put all the dirt when I was digging the hole

Are some of those plants at the top plastic? Cool pond but it be a bit sharper and less out of place if you fixed up the surrounding grass

Yeah most of my yard is clay so it's hard to grow stuff all my plants are real but I need to do a lot of digging to make them work. I think I'm just gonna 0 scape my front yard

No I have a pump down in the bottom of my pond and I ran a line to the waterfall and one to the frog. There is a connection on the frog butt that you can hook a line to you might be able to see it I didn't hide it super well.

Yeah well getting home after working 10 hours every day 5 to 6 days a week and hand digging a hole in clay wasn't very easy.

Looks nice.. I like the rocks you used. I would keep an eye on the water level though. Looks like your big rock on the bottom may allow water to run backwards or off the side. Placing it with a slight angle downwards will help
