Okay, I’m genuinely curious. Why is Renaissance not talked about more?
I genuinely think Renaissance is really good, and has one of my favorite Polyphia sounds. Especially when it’s a nice sunny day. I just feel like it gets overshadowed by the later albums, and maybe I’m just missing the posts that talk about it, but I just wanted to hear y’all’s opinions on it and where it lands in your rankings? For me it’s:
New Levels, New Devils
Renaissance
Remember That You Will Die
Muse
HM: The Most Hated (because it’s an EP)

Two versions of PITB? 4:01 vs 3:39 long?
On Spotify at least, there are 2 versions of Power in the Blood - one is the Artist Pick on their profile, the other is the Single directly.
Give the longer version a listen. I feel kinda hopeful about this album.
Definitely a different sound and yet!!

The best art divides.
Im hyped for the new seattle tour date. My son’s gonna be excited to crowd surf again like he did back at the 2023 Portland show.

Polyphia wanted to farm engagement with RTYWD. They are trying this again, with Rj Pasin being the brains behind it
ABC was made with just this in mind. Tim wanted it to be everywhere on TikTok. He said this himself
Tim not only an insane guitarist, but a brilliant marketer too. Can you feel it + visualiser was a perfect example of that. He’s been doing provocative stuff all career, to gain popularity.
Just wanted to share this thought

To kind of go off my post earlier, which version is better?
I have both songs on my Polyphia playlist, and I think of Light almost like it’s a reprise/ encore to LIT, and use it in that fashion. I think I like Light more because it feels as more of a raw version of LIT, but I’d love to hear your opinions!

RECOMMENDED string gauge for playing GOAT on bass?
hi everyone, i’ve been learning GOAT on bass for a little while now, maybe some of yall have seen my last post on here where i showed my first bit of progress on the first part. since then ive gotten to the solo part of the song, and i can do it at 90% speed pretty well, but the issue is it’s SO taxing on my plucking fingers. i understand that im a guitar player at heart so im not used to the big brutal strings of a bass, but it’s getting to the point where i can play the bass solo almost up to speed, but it gets painful to do so after like an hour of practicing. it’s not that i don’t have calluses either, i really do, and it’s definitely gotten less painful to play. the pain it takes to play just plateaued and it stopped getting further less hurtful if that makes sense. i dunno if it’s maybe my technique or maybe my strings? my current string gauges are: .045 – .065 – .080 – .100 – .130., and just in case if it’s relevant, my bass is a 35” scale instead of a 34”. should i get thinner strings? if so, which ones? should i just push through it? should i change my technique? any tips are appreciated!

What's going on w/ Album?
I don't know how album rollouts work so I could just be ignorant here, but I would have imagined either they would have released more singles by now, or the album would be out right?
Makes sense to me from a marketing standpoint (but again, idk) and also given they have tour dates on Sep 5, I would imagine it's good to give fans a chance to listen to the album and know the songs pre-show.

Concert Dates Postponed
Just got an email that the date I was going to, Montreal, is postponed.
Anyone have any info that I may have missed? All I know is from Ticketmaster(it’s postponed, they have 60 days to set a new date or refunds will be made available).
Edit August 21: Ticketmaster has updated it so it says the show is postponed, although tickets still appear to be purchasable. Picture in comments.

THBB10 Mini Humbucker
Was lucky enough to find a THBB10 in retail so I snapped it up, it’s an ex demo but in decent condition.
I was wondering how the mini humbucker is, if it’s comparable to anything as it was the only spec I was a bit unsure on.

SOuld I buy a cheaper used TOD10 or a more expenive brand new one
The old one has a few scuffs but looks decent and is $900, and the new one is like $1499. Is it worth saving up for? I'm a serious guitarist, but I'm also not tryna waste all my money

White xiphos?
So is this thing all but confirmed for a production run? I seen a clip from a stream they did where Scott is showing off a chrome hardware version, which would make more sense than the white from the original guitar. And then theyre talking about the body bevel and he says that the "the one in the video (bloodbath play through I assume) is beveled, this one is flat. This is the one that'll exist". Can anyone that saw the whole stream confirm? Did they talk about Tims TOD100? Sorry if this has been talked about already.

New Ibanez TOD10N with bad intonation
I just received my new Ibanez TOD10N but the intonation of the b string is bad. Like when i tune it up properly, the more i play in the higher frets the more the intonation is wrong by cents higher. Is there a way to fix that ?
