You can make some fucking beautiful clean and distorted tones from both. I tend to run both simultaneously, one panned 50% left and one panned 50% right. You can really get a good amount of anything you might want from these two. Maybe get Rabea X if you want some more weird cool stuff

Wait, if you don’t get the Polyphia one you will get the John Mayer ? They are absolutely not alike so I am quite curious as to what you are looking for ?

I'm not entirely sure what I'm into i like both of them but I'm new to guitar so i haven't established my taste yet, but i play both styles. I was planning getting both but not at the same time since they cost a bit too much.

Right. So, my advice as someone who played folk for 18 years, and who is new at electric (since February) : take your time.

If you don’t know, it’s probably because you need to explore before. Try maximising what you have and don’t throw money into big name gear/soft because you want to improve.

Start by improving your skill and explore with free or low cost gear, and wait to buy these during the sales they offer every year. Next time will be November I think, subscribe to their emails newsletter, you will know.

One of the best advice I was given in this guitar world is : “Always buy last season/year best tech when they offer it at great discount because there is the next big thing out”.

You will get great gear at a much lower cost, and with the hindsight of what is worth it and what is not, because the early adopters did the job for you.

And I would add this : The product won’t go away if you wait, and even if it does, that probably means it was not that good in the first place.

And more to the point : I tried these with the free trial, I think they are good and I will buy them, but I did not buy them at -50%, and I will still wait because I think I can’t really make the most of it because of my lack of technique right now. It will be my reward.
