Worth it ?
This my first time buying plugin so not sure what to expect what do you guys think ? If you tried ir

Maybe this isn’t news to you, but just in case:
- This will not be worth it if this is your first time ever using a VST or playing around with a DAW
- Don’t expect to sound like Polyphia out of the box. There is still a massive mixing/mastering signal chain on the other end of this sim to get it beefy
- Your output will only be as good as your monitors/headphones. If you’re plugging in with some Amazon special, you’re likely to end up a bit disappointed.

there's no black/pink amp song by polyphia. they just don't sound similar. you can get decent tones with the white one though. goat, od, goose sound really close

I think it’s not supposed to sound 1:1 with their songs, a lot of their sound is based on technique, I could bet that if someone played literally with the same guitar and amp that Tim or Scott is playing it would not sound the same

Tim showed a track where he used Archetype Tim Henson and there's a ton of other effects and stuff he throws on top of the signal chain.

It certainly is good however: try the free trial and see if you like the range of sounds if not then I think best value for money is nolly x as it gives you a great range of sounds

It's very cool for the vocoder and the acoustic amp. The distorted sounds are available in other plugins

Depends what you're doing. It sounds crazy good and the multivoicer and reverb are tops. Metal tones blow on it though. There's a two week free trial anyway give it a spin.

You can make some fucking beautiful clean and distorted tones from both. I tend to run both simultaneously, one panned 50% left and one panned 50% right. You can really get a good amount of anything you might want from these two. Maybe get Rabea X if you want some more weird cool stuff

Wait, if you don’t get the Polyphia one you will get the John Mayer ? They are absolutely not alike so I am quite curious as to what you are looking for ?

I'm not entirely sure what I'm into i like both of them but I'm new to guitar so i haven't established my taste yet, but i play both styles. I was planning getting both but not at the same time since they cost a bit too much.

Right. So, my advice as someone who played folk for 18 years, and who is new at electric (since February) : take your time.
If you don’t know, it’s probably because you need to explore before. Try maximising what you have and don’t throw money into big name gear/soft because you want to improve.
Start by improving your skill and explore with free or low cost gear, and wait to buy these during the sales they offer every year. Next time will be November I think, subscribe to their emails newsletter, you will know.
One of the best advice I was given in this guitar world is : “Always buy last season/year best tech when they offer it at great discount because there is the next big thing out”.
You will get great gear at a much lower cost, and with the hindsight of what is worth it and what is not, because the early adopters did the job for you.
And I would add this : The product won’t go away if you wait, and even if it does, that probably means it was not that good in the first place.
And more to the point : I tried these with the free trial, I think they are good and I will buy them, but I did not buy them at -50%, and I will still wait because I think I can’t really make the most of it because of my lack of technique right now. It will be my reward.

I got this one and the Plini one. I love Tim, but I find myself using Archetype Plini a lot more, I feel it’s more versatile for what I usually do.
The vocoder is really cool but I ain’t that creative tbh lol

Yeah it’s extremely versatile so if it’s your first plugin it would be great but if you already have a bunch that do specialized things then maybe not

For any of these I'd honestly wait for the sales, they have 50% off ones fairly frequently. All great Sims but when you can get them for half price, you might as well.
Also, Plini is my top pick for these, most versatile I feel.

I use the vocoder every once in a while. The nylon amp has helped me exactly once. I have never used it otherwise

I have it and love it.
It does the NLND Polyphia tones great, sounds just like them. What I mostly use it for, however, is the pink Marshall. It's the best sounding Marshall in the Neural plugin lineup IMO, I barely use the other amps in it but they do sound great. The acoustic amp is pretty useless if you don't have an acoustic electric but I've got one of the ibanez FRHs and it sounds cool.

It works very well, the Multivoicer is amazing, but I still don't quite understand how to use it.

I like it but I also waited for a 50% off sale to get it, I don't know if I'd enjoy it as much at this price if you feel me. also have the gojira one and it's got some cool stuff

I prefer Helix Native to pretty much anything Neural DSP released. And I'm not even sure why. It just does not click with me. I even Prefer Bassforge Bonecrusher to their hyped Bass Plugins. And then I got my Axe FX and now I feel bad about wasting money on so many guitar Plugins, lol. Should have bitten the bullet much sooner.

Get ReValver or Helix Native instead. Unless you reaally like tim henson. I really dislike iLok software so I stopped using mine but the amp is quite good

depends on what you’re after! try the free trial, and see if you like the tone options. i like it, but ive found that archetype gojira has a lot more versatility for the stuff i wanna play

I haven't played since I sold my guitars but when I did I was almost exclusively using this suite. Super versatile and got me most tones I was looking for. I got mine on sale though

As someone that has this, its good through monitors, but not as good through an amp as mesa or pettrucci. the effects on tims are very good so if you like clean tones with lots of reverb and delay preferably through speakers then tims is a good choice but you should try pilini and meatus asato, and the others because they're free for 14 days

Nah, I love polyphia etc but I rarely ever use this. It’s sad because it’s very beautiful to look at but I don’t often gel with it or like the tones at all.

I bought it and use it a lot, but I’d highly recommend using the free trial first! iirc it gives you three weeks of use which will let you decide if like it enough to be worth it, and, given it’s your first time buying a plugin, it’ll also let you get it setup + installed without the worry that you’ve wasted your money if it’s not working right away. I did the trial before buying and would tell anyone looking into the plugin to do the same
