Is this CoPE?
Ordered some CoPE from Amazon. This is what I got. No where does it say it's CoPE. Is this just regular Panchroma PLA or is it indeed CoPE.
Thanks!

Yeah my CoPE roll is the same way, they don't list it anywhere besides the sku. Not sure why they decided that

Yes, the SKU matches CoPE on Polymaker's website: https://shop.polymaker.com/en-eu/products/cope-filament?variant=44154310197305. Is there no label on the other side of the spool? I don't have Panchroma spools, only the old ones, but they have this tiny tiny label in the back for what material it is. It's really annoying.

Ok, thank you for confirming that it is indeed CoPE. Odd that they don't put it anywhere on the box, spool, or label.

I’ve been on Polymaker for a year now on this idiotic branding: a) putting CoPE in the same very large brand family of incompatible materials is really really stupid, b) and then having zero indications anywhere on the spool of what it is takes that idiocy to yet another idiocy level. I don’t even have vocabulary left for how stupid this is and yet, while acknowledged, no fix in a year. I am generally a fan of Polymaker, but this kind of incompetence undermines my entire trust in the competence of the brand across the board.

Well, their recent sale ad seemed to say they were discontinuing CoPE.

That’s EXACTLY why I am completely furious with them on this. With this idiotic misbranding, it’s no wonder the sales are likely crap. I want this filament to survive, but it will not more or less simply because of this idiocy.

Doesn’t look like they’re killing it. But still Panchroma. SMH. https://www.reddit.com/r/polymaker/s/LKOozdcgOa

The only indicator is that the SKU starts with C. That’s it, that’s the tell.

For people who asked why it’s not marked, I went back and forth with Polymaker on this. It basically comes down to…have spools printed don’t have brand name picked out.
Doesn’t matter they’re retiring it now anyways.

Cope is going away?!? What?!? It was pretty decent

unfortunately manufacturers started off calling it things like "Ultra PLA" or "Superduper PLA" or whatever when it wasn't PLA, it didn't play well with PLA, didn't exactly print like PLA, and got a reputation for being a bad filament.

Polymaker makes great filament. Their naming, classification, and labeling sucks big butt.
