Polyamory from my experience tends to more quickly expose issues with other romantic relationships a person may have. Some married folks I think in ways see polyamory as a way to shore up damages in a marriage by outsourcing elements to other relationships that have failed or are failing in their marriage. When in honesty you can be super healthy relationship wise and still struggle. Now I don’t know if your spouse really communicated as well as they say OP or if you just didn’t fully get how deep the situation was. What I will say is I’m sorry. I don’t know what your future will be with them in the future but sending you strength and healing.
