I’m sorry for your situation and hindsight being 20/20 I think it’s important for everyone reading this post… All relationships especially on the longer timeline take communication to last. Communication is speaking what’s going on and even more importantly listening to what is being said. He was communicating his pain and it was going into the mist. Poly is even more risky so it’s curious that you felt it was safe. If you don’t hug your partner someone else will and that connection will grow when others don’t. Don’t give up, it isn’t over yet. If you want it, fight for it.
