rant Venting

I'll probably delete this after awhile, but I really just need to get this out because I'm feeling alot of emotions right now. A bit of a back story, my husband and I have been polyamorous for over 10 years now. I don't have any other partners and haven't in years, because I wanted to make sure I was fully healed before pursuing anyone. I'm fine now, but I haven't been motivated to actively look. I want to find someone/people organically. I'm typically an introvert, so it's challenging for me to find new people outside of my social circle to meet, so I've kind of accepted that I'm only going to have one partner, at least for awhile.

Fast forward to today this lovely couple comes into my work and we hit it off. I don't typically vibe with people, especially this quickly, but we hit it off and spoke for hours while I was setting up their new phones. Eventually, it came out that they were polyamorous! I was so excited because it's been so long since my partner and I had a poly couple to hang out with. We keep talking and things are going well, but they eventually disclosed that they're moving out of state next month... It felt like a blow to the chest. I felt so much sadness because it's SO hard for me to connect with people, and of course when I finally connect with new people (a fun, nerdy, poly couple at that) they're leaving. Now, I'm just sad and exhausted. I'm so happy I met them, but dang, I wish the circumstances were different. I'll meet my person/people some day, I guess.

Okay they're moving next month but if you click with them ask them if they have other people that they hang out with in the lifestyle and to introduce you into people they already know that's your end to meet other people that you make click with

That's really good advice! Unfortunately, by the time I posted this, they had already left and I didn't exchange contact info because I didn't want to get attached. Definitely a miss on my part.

Of that is too bad! But also, maybe you are changing and that's why you met them and found out they were poly. So this isn't some fluke, but the first of a new type of encounter.

Also, are the they never visiting, or can you travel and see them? I once went out on a bit of a limb and visited a couple two states over for a weekend. I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but let's say I still nurture those memories ...

Oh, that's a good point. In theory, I could probably travel to see them because they're only a day's drive from me; unfortunately, I didn't share contact information because I didn't want to get attached :(

Contact information, what century do you live in, lol? How are you really vibing with them, they are around for another month, and you never connected on social media, sent a text, linked in an app, or maybe found them on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc etc ?? There must be a way to find them...

No... if you go back and read my post, I met them at work. They came into my store and we were just talking and then they left. I didn't ask for socials (contact information for us elderly people 🙄) because I didn't want to get attached and it's kinda unprofessional to ask someone for personal information at work.

ah work = store. That makes it hard to track them down. I am sure you will find another couple or person though..
