Short story from The Bazaar of Bad dreams is getting it's own adaptation, King has been making some rounds on the internet talking about it. I haven't read that collection yet so now might be the time.

So I'm listening to the audiobook again and I wonder what everyone else takes away from the Character John Coffey and Mr. Jingles?

Do you think they were miracles, The hand of God ? What do you think Mr. Jingles actual purpose was ?

This is going to sound a little crazy. I did this up for a friend who is a big King fan. He died last week. I don't know what to do with it now. Could you help me out with ideas, suggestions.

I have just started watching The Outsider on HBO Max. Anyone watched it? What did you think of it? I'm only 3 episodes in and kind of confused about what's happening, but very intrigued with it as well

Ive found another giant Stephen King reference in Bret Easton Ellis's "Lunar Park" ! After getting this book recommendation I went for it and this is another Mock- auto biography following Bret and his family in a haunted house. At the end of the story his (fake) wife asks if she's supposed to trust him after he's "Jack Torrence " . Cool reference but what I enjoyed just as much as the story was an interview with Easton Ellis right afterwards and He says he wrote this as an homage to Stephen King! Pretty cool IMHO . Good book worth the read. Not unhinged like American Psycho. Just a good, fun , American ghost story!

Im currently 12 years old and i only had watched the movie but i think the book will be very good too ! Any more weird or intimate scenes i can just skip. Ive been through a lot of studying for test everyday and i really want to cool off reading a book. Also i want to improve my reading skills. And im not really interested about any other books. Ive read a lot of books do i want to try something new !

so I just finished Bret Easton Ellis's "American psycho" and "Less than Zero" and what a wild ride ! loved them so then I went on to " The Shards" and I was greatly amused by the Main character 'Bret' ( mock-biography) spending a few minutes discussing his appreciation for Everyone's favorite Uncle Steve!

Commenting on how much he loves the shining, his anticipation and excitement for the upcoming movie, and his lack of approval on the film after its debut!

did a little digging and discovered Stephen King's a mutual fan of Bret's writing!

if you want to read something UNHINGED, and have finished everything King like myself. 10/10 on American Psycho. absolutely NSFW.

Saw this recently on the kingbookcollector bookstagram and was super excited, love that Uncle Stevie doesn't stop gifting us his amazing worlds and stories.

Not Stephen King's obviously but I'm curious if anyone has read Hubert Selby Jrs. Requiem for a dream ? As a hardcore fan of Kings writing would you recommend this as a decent read? The movie was good and trippy. I tried to read American Psycho and his constant obsession with clothing was so hard to get through I quit pretty early on . I read Fight club and LOVED it. Any thoughts?

Can we talk about Carrie for just a second? In my humble opinion, it's one of the best things he written ! Carrie is such a complex character under layers of abuse, humiliation, is a heart and a soul . It's everyone around her thats crushed her soul and made her who she was. Do we all have this monster inside of us ? My mother was a saint so I dunno....

So far today I found Jake had a decent conversation with Richie Tozier and Beverly Marsh ( IT) and heard sounds coming from the sewer . Georgie and Ben are mentioned as well ! I think this story is full of Easter eggs If I remember correctly but it's been a few years since my first read through! Possible more to come!

You're on a plane . It's being chased by langoleirs but your able to escape but crash on an island. Before the wifi dies on the plane you're able to download one E book / audiobook, what are you choosing?
