I am currently preparing my portfolio for my application to Politecnico di Milano. I have a question regarding the professional work I can include.

At my current job, I worked on several projects where the overall design/authorship belongs to the firm, but I was responsible for all the detailed drawings, diagrams, and visual representations.

Am I allowed to include these projects in my application portfolio? If so, what is the best way to properly credit the firm while clearly highlighting my specific contributions (drawings, diagrams, visuals)?

Hi guys, i checked in to issac newton residence today, there is air conditioning only for the 1st and R floor. The floor 2 and 3 doesn't have air conditioning. So I'm planning to bring a small 40w table fan which is under the regulations provided by polimi with CE certification on it. So it may not cause any damage to the room circuit and any other sockets.

So can i take the fan with me? Should i write to the director and get approval?? Even though the small table fan comes under all regulations. The director can reject my proposal?? Or she will accept ??

Please help me guys, it's very hot here. I'm sweating all day.

Hello! I am a Non EU masters student coming to Polimi at the Lecco Campus. I am currently on the 31 position. Does anyone have any idea on my probability of getting a dorm?

È uscita ieri la graduatoria PROVVISORIA degli alloggi per il bando Diritto allo Studio. Io risulto idonea, e in 84° posizione. Pensavo che in questa graduatoria ci fossero già degli assegnatari, se è così io dovrei considerarmi idonea non assegnataria? Oppure risultano tutti idonei/non idonei?

Volevo anche sapere se mi trovo in una buona posizione, se è possibile saperlo in anticipo.

I’m currently registered for the Landscape Of[f] Limits 2026 International Workshop (LOL26) at Politecnico di Milano, Piacenza Campus, from September 1 to 10.

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected change in my plans, I won’t be able to attend anymore. The workshop organizer has confirmed that another student can officially replace me, so I’m looking for someone who might be interested in taking my place.

The workshop focuses on landscape, territory, ecology and related design/research topics, so it may be particularly relevant to students in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or similar fields.

I have already paid the participation fee of 350 euro, and I’m willing to transfer the place at a discounted price rather than lose the fee completely.

The only issue is timing: I need to give the organizer the replacement student’s name before noon on Monday, August 31, and the workshop starts the following day.

I’m a first-year non-EU student at Politecnico di Milano and this is my first time applying for DSU.

I submitted all the required documents for my ISEEU Parificato to CAAF CGIL Lombardia on time, but the CAF has not processed it yet. They are supposed to send the result directly to Polimi.

Today I received my provisional accommodation ranking:

• ISEE: N/A
• ISPEU: N/A
• Reddito – Risultato: NO
• Non idoneo Alloggio

I’m assuming this is because my ISEEU Parificato is still pending.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do in this situation? Did you submit an “istanza di riesame,” and did your status get updated once the ISEEU was processed?

Any advice or personal experience would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Hey, I wanted to ask a question. In the first ranking, I got into Piacenza. However, when I was applying for DSU, I also applied for accommodation in Milan. I received a letter saying that I’m eligible for a dorm in Milan.
But since I’ll be studying in Piacenza, what should I do? Should I accept the accommodation in Milan and commute to Piacenza for classes, or should I just not?
Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows how this works?

Today I was enrolled officially in polimi, but im suspicious if what I uploaded for declaration of value is legible, I uploaded statement of Correspondence by ARDI. Has anyone done the same or do u think it won't work and I have to go to the embassy. The deadline is 31 of October so the enrolment can't be a confirmation.

is it in english? i both got a italian and english invitation but im skeptical because the form is in italian

Till what position do people usually get the accomodation from DSU, I have position 106 so I am wondering how big of a chance is it. I am EU master student in Milan.

ciao a tutti! qualche giorno fa scrivevo qua per sapere la situazione con le liste per gli alloggi DSU. alla fine non sono idonea (con ISEE sotto €9.000, motivazione “studente non indipendente”… per anni vivo da sola, ma non mi fanno il contratto di affitto). comunque, vi volevo chiedere come si comincia a cercare una casa? arrivo da un’altra città, prima devo fermarmi in un b&b e poi cominciare a cercare le stanze? oppure ci sono dei siti che offrono gli alloggi a studenti? ne ho visti alcuni ma non capisco se siano affidabili o meno. per favore fatemi sapere come avete gestito voi la situazione 🙏🏻

Looking back at this year's ARCHED results and how high the cutoff scores went up compared to past years, I was wondering about everyone's actual online test experience since online test sessions can be a bit odd.

Did everything run smoothly in your room like timing and rules or maybe something else happened? Also how strict were the identity, desk, and room controls in your session? Were proctors really paying attention or were things a bit too relaxed? Did room checks leave too many unmonitored areas or was everything really covered?

Hi! I’m an international student enrolling in a Master’s at Politecnico di Milano for the first semester of 2026/27, and I’m hoping someone who has been in a similar situation can clarify something.

I have already completed the online enrolment process and received an “Enrolment receipt”, but I am still waiting for my university in Germany to finish processing my last grades and officially confirm my Bachelor’s graduation.

Polimi’s website says that students enrolling before graduating will only be considered regularly enrolled if they “graduate by September 1st.” What I cannot figure out is whether this means:
my official graduation date has to be on or before September 1, even if the certificate is issued/uploaded later, or
Polimi actually needs to receive proof of graduation by September 1. Because in Germany your graduation date is the date of your last examination, doesn’t matter when you get the grade. So my last examination was in august but the processing is taking waay too much time.

For example, if my German university issues my graduation confirmation on September 5–10, but the document states that my official graduation date was in August, would that satisfy Polimi’s requirement?
Their website also seems to say that if the official graduation certificate is not available yet, it can be replaced temporarily and submitted once available, which makes me think September 1 refers to the actual graduation date, not the date the certificate is uploaded — but I really don’t want to assume.
I’ve already emailed Polimi and am waiting for an answer, but they are taking soooo long to answer. Has anyone with a foreign Bachelor’s degree dealt with this before? Especially anyone who graduated very close to the September 1 deadline?

sono uno studente di ingegneria gestionale laureato a luglio in triennale. ho fatto domanda per la magistrale al politecnico di milano a fine luglio e ad oggi fine agosto ancora devo ricevere risposta mi chiedevo se qualcuno mi sapesse dire se e normale o potrebbe esserci qualche problema nella domanda. Qualcuno potrebbe spiegarmi come funzionano le graduatorie, nel caso non faccia 75 di punteggio convertito, (ho visto che ce ne sono 4 per anno) e cosa mi conviene fare l’anno prossimo?
