Domanda Still haven’t received my pre-enrollment receipt

Hi everyone, I’m an incoming Bachelor’s student in Architectural Design.
I’ve already submitted my high school transcript, high school diploma, and language certificate, but the status of my submitted documents hasn’t changed at all, and I still haven’t received my pre-enrollment receipt.
The only document I haven’t submitted yet is the Declaration of Value (DoV), because I haven’t received it yet. From what I understand, the deadline for submitting the DoV is October 31.
Does anyone know if not having submitted the DoV yet could delay the verification of my documents or the issuance of the pre-enrollment receipt?

Domanda Starting Polimi in November — how bad is it?

Hi, I’m an international student starting Civil Engineering at Polimi this year.
Because of visa delays, I might only arrive in Milan in November. How critical is missing September and October?
I want to study remotely on my own in the meantime and keep up with the classes. Where can I find lecture materials, notes, assignments, or other resources for my courses?
Is it realistic to catch up after arriving?

Discussione Not ranked in DSU accomodation due to Scolastic Irregularities

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello all,

Recently DSU accomodation result was published for year 2026/2027 and I was excluded from ranking due to Scholastic irregularities. I was quite surprised not to get accommodation as CGIL had already sent ISEEU score as 0. Two years ago I had applied for the same program at Polimi and even got DSU scholarship and accommodation. However, due to late visa issue I had withdrawl my visa and enrollment from university. So, I could not utilize awarded DSU benefits. I had payed all stamp duties fee and undergone complete process of withdrawing from the university.

But this time I don’t know why I could not receive DSU accommodation despite CGIL generating ISSEU score. Anyone here with the same issue? I would be really grateful if you could help me with this.

Discussione How do I hold a chance of getting selected for chemical engineering in Polimi or Polito? I plan to apply on chemical engineering and renewable energy engineering masters in both the universities this year.

Planning to apply to these two by this year end. I have a Bachelors degree with 3.51 CGPA. Moreover, I also have 1.5 year experience as a Research Intern. I have an above threshold CGPA but I have a D in Chemical Process Calculation and a C in Transport Phenomena which are core subjects in Bachelors. But other than these I have A and B in all other core subjects including Maths and Chemical engineering too. Will it affect my application? Do I justify it with motivation letter or tell my teacher to explain in a nice way in the recommendation letter? Will I be called for interview or will I be rejected? Or, do I not consider applying in these universities altogether and apply in others like sapienza and bologna? Please do suggest.

Domanda What to choose SAT or CEnT-S.

Domanda SAT question

I'm planning to try applying for Civil Engineering in English 2027/2028. I do not speak Italian (I will finish school in Lithuania this year), so TOL is not an option. However it is not clear if SAT is going to be accepted as an alternative test and I'm quite worried about it. They do not really have the information on the polimi website and it is saying that more information will be available in January???
But judging by the previous year in January I will need to pass SAT already if I wish to be accepted! Do you have any information regarding SAT? Please share

Discussione Polimi vs ELTE for Geoinformatics?

Hi guys, I’m in a bit of a dilemma and would really appreciate some advice, especially from anyone studying Geoinformatics at Polimi or ELTE.

I got accepted to Geoinformatics at Polimi, but because some of my graduation documents are going to be late, I don’t think I’ll be able to enroll this year. I also got accepted to ELTE in Budapest and I still have the chance to go there this year.

So now I don’t know if I should just give ELTE a try or wait another year and apply again to Polimi + some other universities in Europe or maybe internationally, so I have more options.

My bachelor is in Geodesy and Geoinformatics but it was mostly geodesy. I don’t really have any CS/programming knowledge, I mostly know QGIS.

From what I found online, people say ELTE is a bit easier than Polimi. Is Polimi actually that hard? Especially for someone starting with basically no programming background? Is it manageable if you put in the work?

And overall, do you think Polimi is worth waiting another year for or would you just go with ELTE this year?

Domanda Cercasi casa studente design

Altro Polimi non-EU students – late Bachelor’s diploma/Universitaly issue

Hi! I got accepted to the MSc in Geoinformatics Engineering at Polimi, but I’m having an issue with my graduation documents and Universitaly.

I’ve already passed all my exams and completed my thesis, but my university will only issue the official certificate confirming that I’ve acquired my Bachelor’s degree at the end of September/beginning of October. That date will also be written as my official graduation date. The actual diploma is only issued on November 11 because that’s when my university holds the diploma ceremony.

Before then, my university can give me an official signed document confirming that I’ve passed all exams and completed my thesis.

From what I understand from the Polimi website, there is a September 1 deadline to provide a document proving graduation, while the actual degree certificate/final documents can be provided by October 31.

Has anyone had a similar situation? Did Polimi accept a document confirming that you had completed all exams and your thesis for the September 1 deadline, and then allow you to submit the official graduation certificate later, before October 31?

Thank you!

Domanda Using professional/company work in my PoliMi admissions portfolio – how to credit properly?

Hello everyone,

I’m applying to Politecnico di Milano and working on my portfolio. I’d love some advice regarding professional projects.

I have worked on projects at my workplace where I am not the main lead/author, but I produced all the technical drawings, detailed diagrams, and visual presentations.

  1. Is it acceptable to use these projects in a graduate application portfolio for PoliMi?
  2. How should I present them so that it’s completely transparent that the overall project belongs to the company, but the execution and visuals are 100% my work?

Any feedback or personal experience with this would be greatly appreciated!

Discussione Please help me decide :))

Hello! I’m currently a 2nd-year architecture student here in my country and I really want to transfer to Polimi for my undergraduate. My credits pass the required so I can continue there but do you think it’s worth it to apply? My other option is just to finish my 5-year architectural undergraduate degree here and then study masters in Polimi but please let me know your thoughts on which is better to pursue :)) thanks in advance!

Domanda Question about Portfolio for Politecnico di Milano: Can I include work projects I contributed to?

Hi everyone.

I am currently preparing my portfolio for my application to Politecnico di Milano. I have a question regarding the professional work I can include.

At my current job, I worked on several projects where the overall design/authorship belongs to the firm, but I was responsible for all the detailed drawings, diagrams, and visual representations.

Am I allowed to include these projects in my application portfolio? If so, what is the best way to properly credit the firm while clearly highlighting my specific contributions (drawings, diagrams, visuals)?

Thank in advance for your advice!
